Growing up I always watched boxing but for me what got me hooked was Arturo Gatti vs Gabriel Rueles. One of my favourite fights of all time.

Born in 1976. SRL vs. Hearns I. I was a lil kid, but was completely hooked from that point on. I was still hooked when SRL vs. Marvalous Marvin finally got in the ring in 87; so much so, that my Maw bought tickets to the CCTV broadcast at the stadium.

So Sugar Ray Leonard and Tommy The Hitman Hearns are responsible for making ya potna a fan. Reading a book on Jack Johnson when I was bout 11 made me a SUPER fan, so I give the Galveston Giant just as much credit for making me the fan I am today.
