Prime Margarito was nothing to **** wit.In my assessment of Margarito what did I say that was inaccurate?
Was he not good at cutting of the ring?
Was he not a solid body puncher?
Did he not have a good uppercut?
Did he not put pressure on fighters?
Did he not impose his will and make his opponents fight his fight?
Was he not good inside fighter?

I always thought he was able to do those things relative to the level of comp he fought but that those skills wouldn't translate when he fought better fighters. In my assessment of Margarito what did I say that was inaccurate?

I never came away from a Marg fight thinking, wow this guy is skilled. But maybe I wasn't paying enough attention.Comment

I mean, do people know what the **** they're talking about? A champion for six of seven years. Threw over 100 punches a round and got stronger as the fight progressed. Threw EXCELLENT combinations. Heck, if that was Roy Jones throwing a triple left uppercut (like Tony did to Cotto) we'd be on our knees. Excellent body puncher. Sturdy chin. Aggressive. Could force any boxer to brawl with him. ****, he made Daniel Santos exciting. Power/cement in both fists. Underrated boxing skills. Knew how to cut off the ring. Incredible pressure-fighter. Experienced. Savvy. Average? That muther****er was downright scary in his prime.Comment

No but reality is even the Marg of today would lace the head off most of these ATGs
Even at a weight disadvantage against Jake Lamotta, he would of smashed him to fcukin' pieces. If this guy was getting smashed left, right & centre by fat bartenders who trained 1 hour a week WTF do you think would happen if he met Marg?Comment

It's ironic how skilled pressure is the hardest way to fight, I think it is, yet skilled pressure fighters are called face first brawlers.
