Has there been another fighter to blast through so many expectations as Pacquiao?

I didnt say he was the only culprit to not fight this guy or that guy. Everyone has that at some point in their career.
Sometimes fight dont happen because of timing, injuries, weight classes, money.
I dont blame Manny, I blame Arum.
When Arum thinks a boxer can beat Manny he throws out excuses or doesnt even entertain the possibility.

pacquiao was a big favourite against cotto, 4 to 1 i think. most ppl were counting cotto out entirely. hatton? dude come on! nobody and i mean nobody gave hatton a chance except for hattons die hards, everyone knew that was a mismatch, ppl were just guessing the round pacquiao would take him out.
margarito.. please.. again everyone knew margarito didnt have the skills to compete with pacquiao or the one punch KO power to take him out with a single shot. only tonys die hards and mainstream fans thought he had a chance and ofcourse pacquiao fans trying to tell dissapointed fans this wasnt as bad a fight as they thought. as we all know it was, margarito had no business sharing a ring with manny and anyone who thought he did is a moron.
pacquiao was a betting favourite in all these fights. MAB 1 and DLH are the only fights were pacquiao was even an underdog. he did shock the world in those fights, but the rest.. hell no. how are you shocking the world when you are a huge betting favourite?

What I will do if give you current boxers with a more solid recent resume compared to Mannys wins since Diaz.
Tim Bradley, Andre Ward, Carl Froch, Mayweather...... too name a few.
Its not a coincidence either that Arums second biggest cash cow is avoiding fights. Chavez Jr.
He could be getting Donaire better fights too.
He dropped the ball on Lopez and Rios.

Check the posts when those fights were first mentioned, I have quoted them in this thread.
The vast majority never gave Pacquiao a chance.

Sure, Boxing had many many stars before him. The only difference here is that a Steroids cloud diminish credit to his acomplishments.

Not a shred of evidence against them though.
And it this thread is not about stars or resumes, it is about saying a fighter has no chance or is the underdog and then that fighter winning.
I think Pacquiao has done this more that any other fighter.
Hopkins is up there too.

you cant take the opinions of ppl one NSB as the official opinion of the boxing world! most ppl on this site are either mainstream fans or trolls. besides theres always somebody who thinks even the biggest underdog is gonna win, to find a couple of quotes doesnt prove anything, especially if they are coming from here.
i can find a bunch of quotes saying cotto, ortiz, mosley, marquez etc were gonna knock floyd out, dozens probably. does that mean they were favourites?
bottom line is pacquiao opened as a betting favourite in all those fights, by the time the fights started he was most likely an even bigger favourite. boxing ppl had pacquiao a big favourite, trainers, bookies, fighters etc. and tbh most ppl even on this site had him as a favourite too. to say the vast majotity didnt give him a chance is complete bull****.
the vast majority didnt give pacquiao a chance against ricky hatton? really? you really think anyone is gonna buy that?
better luck next time troll..

Pac haters try make out Pac is a bully for fighting Bradley who is coming up in weight. Yet Trinidad was favourite against BH.
