I see people defending and arguing in favour of Bob Arum like they are getting paid by him, I mean if they were Steve kim now who actually get privileges from arum then i would understand, In a time where we all want fighters to earn and get all the rewards and not promoters but here we have people actually singing the promoters tune...Disgraceful..

No, i can seperate floyd the promoter from floyd the fighter. You guys don't want to do that. Floyd wants to fight manny but wont give him more than he is worth. I don't think he should give manny more than Manny is worth to make the fight because its what I want as a fan.

I've got kids. They sometimes equate loving them with me allowing them to do what they want. The easy thing is to give them what they want. The harder thing is to stay grounded and do whats right.

Thats how I see the people who argue for 50/50. They are kids who want the fight and are mad they can't have their way.

Ive said run the numbers for months now. People don't want that because they want floyd to get less than he is worth becaue of how they feel about him.

that's not easy though...floyd and pac are the side As of their ppv fights but some other factors shoudl be considered in the equation. the quality of their opponents (in terms of ppv drawing power) and the undercards...those things matters.

for example, i really think cotto is worth at least 300,000 ppvs more than bradley. so if pac-bradley makes 1.2 million, does that mean pac can make a case for 50-50? for me that's not even conclusive, it's a lot more complicated than that.

If the numbers are crunched and it shows Manny deserves 72/28 fine. If Floyd deserves 50.2 and Manny 49.8 fine. I think 45/45/10 is a cool idea too, but the logistics on that seem like a nightmare with everybody running around trying to hide money and fudge the numbers. There is no way Top Rank opens their books. Look at the VisionQuest thing. Arum has been so savagely raping Manny in the ass financially that he flipped out on Manny bringing in an independent accounting firm...how anyone can support Arum or King or GBP is beyond me. I read that as you want to penalize floyd for putting on better undercard fights, giving you more value for your money? Is that your point?

No, because you have to compare apples to apples. If cotto is worth 300k, then that means manny sold 900k vs cotto and floyd 1.2mil, which would thus increase floyds value.

The commodity in any floyd fight is floyd losing. The commodity in any manny fight is him beating someone up. In a floyd manny fight the commodity is still floyd losing IMO.
