Floyd is 2 fights away from being All Time PPV King & has been in less PPVs than DLH!

Oscar currently holds the all time ppv record with $610.6 million on 12.6 million buys in 18 PPV events.

Mike Tyson is #2 with $545 million on 12.4 million buys in 12 PPV events.

Evander Holyfield is #3 with $543 million on 12.6 million buys in 14 PPV events.

Mayweather currently has generated $543 million on 9.6 million buys in only 9 PPV events. He is clearly on his way to surpassing all of the 2 major HW PPV Kings as well as the ALL TIME PPV KING Oscar. Floyds next fight will push him beyond the $610 million that Oscar made and Floyd will do it in his 10th PPV event. In his fight after that (his 11th PPV fight) he will surpass the 12.6 million buys, the record held by Holyfield & De La Hoya.

#s dont lie and when Mayweather retires he will be the biggest PPV superstar in the history of boxing & will have done it in less PPV fights than De La Hoya, Tyson & Holyfield!

Thats amazing considering he is a feather fisted runner thats boring

This is directed at you and larry..

You guys know how PPV inflated right? Please you guys must know. In other words a Prime Oscar or Prime Tyson now can easily do 2-3 million for big fights.

Tyson did 1 million for Mcneeley for Christ Sake. A Prime Tyson vs Wlad in today's PPV era will do 5million.

So overall Oscar's PPV numbers were much more impressive.

I'm a huge Fan of Floyd's but let's not ****ing pretend Floyd was anything other then a no name before Oscar. He was a mega skilled fighter before Oscar but he was begging Gatti for paydays ok.

Oscar made Floyd. He made Pacquaio too

Once again not saying Floyd is not an ATG or that he is not the current cash GOD

But Oscar didn't need Floyd, Floyd needed Oscar. it is what it is

        Oscar also made Pacquiao.

        from the other thread...

Are you trolling? Or just ******?

You realize that 1 million PPV Buys in the 90's is like 1.6-1.8 million now right?

I don't want to write out a entire damn essay on how PPV inflated with the current media internet online marketing era. But trust me it did.

What's more impressive.. Titanic's record in 97 or 'Avator's now... you figure it out

If PPV continue to inflate and it most likely will

15 years from now some random **** will be doing 3 million per average fight and his ******ed fanboys will make a post

'SCOTT DEION IS THE NEW PPV GOD HE DO 3 MILLION PER FIGHT AND FLOYD ONLY DID 1.6

As far as I remember Most of oscars ppvs were 44$ not 60 or 70 like Floyds and Oscar fought before high def was an option.

                  Oscar and iron mike>>>>floyd

Floyd has it easy. He didn't have to compete with 4-5 BIG ppvs a year, and back then they didn't have the promoting and marketing tools tools they have now.

Floyd may make the most money, and sell the most PPV but he'll never be a bigger star than Tyson.
