    Canelo -vs- James Kirkland

    According to a number of reputable boxing web sites, a fascinating light-middleweight title fight clash could go down at The MGM in Las Vegas on September 15th - Canelo versus James Kirkland

    Canelo is pencilled in as fighting on sept 15th on boxrec.com

    Respect to golden boy is this fight goes ahead!! Bob Arum would NEVER put 2 of his young rising money-making stars into the ring with eachother.

                          Dan Rafael discussed this in his chat today. Supposedly GBP offered the fight to Kirkland's team for $900k but they turned the fight down. Their team said that Kirkland will not be recovered in time to start a training camp for a 9/15 fight.

                              An impressive win over James Kirkland I think would really get Canelo a lot of respect IMO! I need to see him in fights with fighters IN THEIR PRIME and will COME TO WIN...some of his fights, I swear it looks like his opponents are not even TRYING
