He did do good numbers with Marquez, more than most thought probably. Still, Floyd sold with Ortiz what Pac sold with Cotto and De La Hoya.

I think 60-40 split is too steep as well, but 55-45 wouldn't be wrong, considering Floyd sells more PPV's per fight than Pac, and does better with common opponents. 50-50 is fine too. It's a worthless debate though, because neither are budging.

You could easily argue Floyd is a bigger draw PPV wise. He definitely is a bigger draw than Pacquiao. Floyd now has two PPV's that have sold more than Pac ever sold on PPV. With that said, the fight should still be 55-45 at the least.
Never said he wasn't a bigger draw, even stated that his consistency number wise since the Oscar fight is a testament to that. Was only saying that Oscar deserves some credit for generating that many buys and gate revenue.

But I guess that makes me a Pac-tard ha

Floyd is catching De la hoya and Tyson on the PPV king title. Floyd on average sells more than De la hoya but Oscar has had more PPV fights. A lot of you like to argue that the De la hoya - Mayweather #'s were because of Oscar but the Floyd - Cotto fight does more than any Oscar fight other than the Floyd fight. Remember it takes two to make a Superfight and Oscar and Floyd did 2.4 together. A couple more fights at or near 1.5 you can no longer deny Floyd is PPV king.

Having the number 2 is a result of Mayweather, Cotto, Canelo , and Mosely. Anything less would have been a huge disappointment in my opinion.

          Impressive either way.
uhh...that's not necessarily true. If u look at the numbers oscar fought mayorga & hokins & mosely in ptII & the most he did w/ any of those opps was 1 mil & that was vs bernard. against shane & RM he did like 850 & 950....So, Actually although dLh was the A side on the card. No way in hell he does those astronomical figures w/out floyd. they both were necessary to get it done.

            I don't say ****** things like P-ACTARD and F-LOMO.

Oscar does for sure, I probably didn't read your post right.

And by the way, with respect to Arum and Pacquiao...Mayweather SHOULD NOT accept 50/50! Of course fans are saying "ACCEPT 50/50" because they just want to see the fight, but from a Business Standpoint that would be ****** because Pacquiao don't generate as consistently as Mayweather and his ticket prices are MUCH CHEAPER, that is like paying a Hollywood Superstar to star in a movie...then giving him a % of the movie earning at the box office...The Studio would just go and find another actor to accept the Role for the terms they are offering...its the same thing with this fight...Pacquiao don't want to accept the terms, you move on to the next opponent and you still put up great PPV Numbers, Mayweather has plenty of options if he choose to continue to fight because he has a great business relationship with GBP and GBP has plenty of fighters on their Roster to throw at Mayweather

We was told for years that Mayweather was scared of Cotto as well...but what happened as soon as Cotto left Arum? That Fight Gets Done Right Away!

I can't imagine a ton of people who were on the fence, but decided to spend $70 because Canelo was fighting Mosley.

So this should translate to being the bigger Draw, No?. Cant talk from both sides of your mouth.
Don't be ******. Having a bigger following doesn't mean you sell more PPV. Mayweather is an English speaking fighter who does more to sell himself and lots of people want to see him lose as well as his followers.

I don't think it's necessarily that Mayweather is inherently a bigger draw as much as it's Mayweather having much better timing.

De La Hoya was coming off a great comeback win against Mayorga when Mayweather beat him. Pacquiao fought De La Hoya after Mayweather just beat him. Mayweather got Hatton when he was undefeated. Pacquiao fought him after Mayweather beat him, which once again made it lose a lot of its luster. Mayweather fought Molsey after his great Margarito win. Pacquiao fought Mosley after his draw against Sergio Mora. Mayweather fought Cotto after avenging his Margarito loss. Pacquiao fought him post Margarito beating. And Pacquiao/Mayweather/Cotto are probably all bigger names than back then.

Pacquiao does have Mayweather beat in their latest PPVs against Marquez though.
