confident means that you'll bet ANYTHING...including your life...and I seriously doubt that there's one dude who THINKS Manny will win is willing to bet his life....but you MIGHT find a few Floyd fans ****** and confident enough to bet theirs.....they've NEVER seen Floyd outboxed, beat up or knocked out....so I think there might be a Floyd fan brave enough to take it there....but the writer and the others who feel that Floyd loses to dude won't step in the danger zone and put it ALL on the line.....dudes just got ways of trying to make their opinion seem like fact....if they kick it strong enough and use the right terms to express their OWN reality...they can make people share the same, and by doing so people just check themselves into the Heart Break Hotel....styles make fights...thats all!!

wow how do you guys compare ODH at 154 vs 147 with smaller gloves - floyd fought the better Oscar period.

cotto at 145 vs 154 with larger gloves again floyd fought the better cotto just by the numbers.

I feel the exact same way...I hate when people use common opponents like its some form of parameter on how a fight is gonna go.....Mayweather will be the most skilled fight Manny has shared the ring with

....Manny has great speed, combinations, good power and work rate....there is more to boxing than being exciting...Mayweather does everything good or great, Manny is a bit one dimensional, if he cant hurt his opponent consistently or they move on him laterally he looks lost....still a great fighter Mayweather Just beats him, the style Matchup is bad

Foreman was favourtie against Ali as he destroyed Frasier. You could claim Ali was a bad style match up for Foreman whos footwork resembled the mummy and Ali floated like a butterfly, yet was underdog.
I think people are just a bit deluded when they put their money on floyd. By all means its up to you who you think will win, but the reasons are a bit weak.

Ok let me explain...Manny has no jab....doesnt set up his power shots well which make him vulnerable to counters which he is too straight rights and right hooks...Mayweather's best punch....he doesnt defend the jab well, which Mayweather does throws well....Also Manny isnt very good fighting on the inside or fighting backwards....Mayweather can do more in the ring, he can take the fight anywhere and have success, Manny cant....he is a bit more one dimensional....when he cant cut of the ring or hurt his opponent his doesnt know how to adjust...watch the first Morales fight, the Marquez fights, and he couldnt even cut the ring off on a 39 year old Mosley...Manny fights one way he is a mid range fighter....Also Mayweather is physically stronger and has shown in the past that he can up his punch output depending on the fighter in front of him...Mayweather has more options, I go with the more versatile guy


If anything you gotta at least acknowledge Mayweather adjust better on the fly than any fighter mid fight and on the top level its all about adjustments

Foreman was favourite against Ali, cos when Foreman hit you you fell down as simple as that. Ali still could do amazing things, dance, jab, amazing chin etc.
I think Floyd fans think too much and fantasize is how they come to conclusions.

The thing is that Floyd remarkably well preserved. His legs are not shot. I see a good probability that Floyd catches Mannie leaping in with that power shot. Of course, Mannie could catch Floyd too with that leap. But, the odds of that happening are less than the pick off, precisely because Floyd may be the only boxer alive that's able to elude Mannie's lightening.

I still can't believe people are on this Manny hype. He beat Clottey, Margarita, Mosely and Cotto at 145. I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon myself because of this. Not to mention Manny got out boxed by an old lightweight for the 3rd time. Floyd would mopp the floor with Manny. Easy work here. If JMM can outbox Manny don't you think Floor would embarrass Manny? I do. I give it up to Arum though. He's done an outstanding job handling Manny and making him who he is.

Manny never beats Floyd. I admit the Manny that beat cotto and Hatton had a chance but he has aged faster than Mayweather. Or simply Mayweather altered his fighting style to accomodate his ageing legs, something Manny hasnt. He is ageing and still trying to be massivly explosive. I believe Bradley might expose some weaknesses in Pacman. I dont believe Bradley will win as his style is similar to Hopkins, he likes to spoil fighters instead of punching clean. If the fight happens then it will be Mayweathers hand raised barring a knockout shot from manny like he did against hatton.

You cant compare Foreman and Ali to Pacman and Mayweather. Its simply not feasible. Firstly there heavyweights. Secondly Ali's defence was not as good as Mayweathers. Thirdly Manny is no Foreman! The only guy he has hit of note that has stayed down is Hatton. Dont get me wrong i was a Hatton fan but he was begging to be knocked out.
