Well considering the article is from 2009 and its now 2012 and hes fought and dominated 4 out of the 5.

vs Pacquiao, came off of a draw to Mora
vs Mayweather, came off beating the crap out of Margarito

Cotto
vs Pacquiao, barely beating Clottey in his previous fight and no trainer.
vs Margarito, Cotto at his best
vs Mayweather, Cotto beat Margarito, Mayorga, and Foreman barely losing one round per fight.

Ortiz
vs Mayweather, he beat Berto in a fight of the year.


If you see, Mayweather fought all of them after a great perfomance.

Its funny how some people minimize things here after the fact.

If Floyd would fight Pac and beat him they would also say that he waited too long like Floyd himself doesn't age.

Even if he won a Pac fight they would say well he didn't fight Martinez, Canelo, Guerrero or any other name they can come with.

I do not like Floyd as a person but do recognize his skills and fighting ability.

I guess the perception of Pac being viewed as the smaller guy that came up in weight to fight the same guys carries more weight. If you check both guys time line when they were fighting either prefessionally or in the amateurs when they were young they were at a comparable weights.

Now a days if he beats a veteran he was past it or if it is a young fighter it was that he was too green
