I knew the news yesterday was BULL*****

it is all BIG TALK to try and make it look as if Chavez is willing to fight...just give it up, Martinez vs Chavez Jr is not going to happen

Andy Lee will get ROBBED...and Chavez Jr will say he can't make weight and move up and fight all the BUMS at 168 and avoid any of the top fighters at 168

people seem to forget that Sergio Martinez is Chavez's mandatory. the WBC enforced it's "rules" by stripping Martinez for not facing Zbik and yet now the WBC totally forgets its own rules when it comes to Chavez.

it's about justice and revenge. the WBC is screwing Martinez so Chavez can play at being champion. if anybody else ducked their mandatory for as long as Chavez has people would be calling for his head but for some reason when Martinez demands what is owed to him it's somehow his problem?

Baahahahaha yeah right! Chavez is the most protected fighter hands-down. There is always controversy surrounding him. Martinez was stripped to make Jr. champion. And now, they are avoiding Sergio like the plague! Jr. walks in 20 lbs. over against Rubio and forget to test even though he has been caught before. WBC said Jr.'s mandatory was Martinez two fights ago and looking like they will keep pushing Martinez to the side. Jose Sulaiman, you know the WBC president - is Jr.'s Godfather! You really think they are protecting Canelo more than Jr? Are you kidding?

Without a doubt they're protecting Canelo more than Chavez Jr. It's not even a question.

JR. IS MORE PROTECTED THAN CANELO??

The guy caught cheating, the guy walking in over 20 lbs. and not tested, the guy that hasn't faced his mandatory for the past 2 fights, the guy with the hall of fame daddy, the guy with the WBC president as godfather, the guy given a gift decision vs. Zbik, the guy nominated for the CompuBox worst decisions of 2011 from a statistical perspective (vs. Zbik)...please, please, please tell me how.

Is Canelo protected? Hell ya he is, but not as much as Jr. I CANT WAIT TO HEAR THIS ONE.

Lol @ compubox. You bring Compubox up when you start losing an argument.

You speaking of a lot of irrelevancies, WBC is gave Angule, Vanes, and Kirkland the run around in order to protect Canelo.

Rubio is better than any fighter Canelo has fought, Lee is better than any fighter that Canelo has fought. Yes Canelo is more protected. Not even debatable.

Don't confuse a close fight that could go either way with a gift decision. BTW, has Canelo even fought anyone as good as zbik? Debatable. But, then again Zbik isn't the best fighter that Chavez Jr has fought, not even in the top 3 either. Which again equates to Canelo being way more protective.

Lol @ Hall of fame daddy like if that matters smh.

Canelo is a ginger Mexican. What does that mean? I don't know, but since we're speaking irrelevancies might as well bring it up.

Love how you didn't touch upon him cheating without consequence or that he wasn't tested after the Rubio bout.

Compubox is a guide, I agree. Not the be all, end all. But have you seen the numbers? Sebastian Zbik (391/834) vs. JC Chavez, Jr. (256/796) - Zbik landed 135 more punches and you dismiss that? You say that Chavez Jr.'s last name isn't influential? Really...

WBC gave Angulo, Kirkland and Vanes the run around - really, so who is Canelo's mandatory? Because WBC announced Jr.'s in December of 2011. Then sanctioned Rubio, Lee and Jr. still hasn't signed to fight Martinez. Hmmm...

Lee is better than any competition Canelo has fought, yes but only because Jr. would rather fight Lee than Martinez - not by choice. We'll see what happens when Canelo gets put in that position.

Let's talk competition (last 5 fights) - let's be real, neither have fought a real threat. But let's line them up and see what we get!

                      Jr.
Zbik - 10 KO's, Billy Lyell - 5 KO's, Duddy - 18 KO's, Manfredo -20 KO's, Rubio has like 40 KO's, but we all know how much weight Jr. had for that fight.

                      Canelo
                      Cintron - 28 KO's, Rhodes - 31 KO's, N'dou - 31 Ko's, Gomez - 11 KO's and sadly, Hatton - 10 KO's.

So who has fought tougher competition?

Conclusion: Jr. has two debatable wins out of his past 5 fights (Zbik & Rubio) - both gifts vs. semi-real competition, while Canelo has dominated every single one of his foe's - peep talk about Gomez winning, which he was, but it was only a matter of time before Canelo put the pressure and abandoned his ****** Mayweather-wanna be defense. He was never threatened.
