Hopkins just couldn't do anything against a style and a fighter that was too much for him at this stage. He doesn't have to retire, but he needs to have the right matchmaking to look good at a high level.

Dawson won, hopkins should of talked, hopkins just fought dirty all night, he can still keep fightin but he cant beat dawson, what an ugly way for hopkins to retired didnt wana talked about his lost , he should feel a lil ashamed for boxing so dirty, he still a legend n one of my favorite fighters

117-111 Dawson on my card. Nothing to be ashamed of for Hopkins. His footwork was there, but couldn't slip the punches when Chad started controlling the distance. After round seven, Dawson started turning Bernard instead of Hopkins turning him.

It let Dawson control the pace of the fight and never let Hopkins really re-establish his rhythm. Hopkins still hung in there though.

It was a good fight to me, IMO. I also really like the thought of Ward-Dawson. I think Ward beats him.

god, that was an ugly fight. dawson got past hopkins' dirty ways, cong**** to him! hopkins should retire imo, there's nothing else left to prove. pretty interesting that dawson called out ward at the end. since ward doesn't want to fight a dirrell brother for some ****** reason and hopkins is out of the question, this would be a good fight. chad even said he'd do it at 168, c/w, or 175. ward better not say he wouldn't fight him either.

It wasn't an "upset" at all. I had Dawson winning the fight 115-113.
