What is so good about Winky's defense?

Here's an example, say you're The San Antonio Spurs, playing in game 7 of the NBA finals, and you have a big lead, all you need to do is run out the clock and play smart to win. Are you going to do exactly that, albiet, looking less spectacular, or are you going to run and gun, to show off and risk having your lead trimmed, or even worse, losing the game?

Winky is boring to watch, yes. I agree. However, it works for him, and it helped him DOMINATE a man that was supposed to go walk right through him.

Not a good anology... in the NBA there aren't distinctions between a win. A win, truly is a win.

In boxing you can win by UD, MD, DQ, TKO, on cuts... etc. There are differences in the way you win and TKO/KO is the best way to win.

I see, but I dont think it's that simple. Tito's face was like a beachball in the 12th round and his fighting/work rate were a fraction of what they were at the beginning. The thread Tito posed to Winky in the 12 deminished.

Thats true. I never said it was bad what Winky does, I just said he is boring to watch. I would never order a Winky Wright career collection.

I agree man, anyone who dominates someone THAT bad and doesn't knock someone out, there's something wrong. Just look at B-Hop, dominated Tito in even less of a fashion and KOed him.

Hopkins dominated Trinidad just as much or moreso than did Wright, because Trinidad was much closer to his best fighting form when Hopkins beat him.

Hopkins landed PLENTY of ****** punches on Trinidad as well. Felix ate about as many good left hand leads and sneak right hands as I've seen someone eat.

I think Hopkins wears a fighter down mentally as well as physically. Winky needs a couple years more expierience but he may never get this gift as most fighters dont.That is why Hops was able to ko Tito aside from landing that bomb.

well. wat most ppl considered the hardest puncher in the world, trinidad, landed 55 punches, which is less than he landed in one round in his previous fight.
