Nothing can get through.
What is so good about Winky's defense?

I see it. His arms and elbows take all the punches because he's shielding his body and chin. That doesn't impress me and its rather boring. He also throws punches just to say they landed, like Ouma. There are NOT "bad intentions" behind his punches when he throws just like Ouma. So you know the fight is going the distance against a respectable opponent.
He probably could have knocked Tito out but was too chicken **** to put a couple punches together. To me, that is the epitome of fighting scared.
Originally posted by oldgringoBlood - winky does NOT just put his arms up. It's not like he just leaves em up there and gets hit a lot. He times punches well and takes a lot of shots on his elbows and gloves, thus taking little damage from the actual punches thrown at him. He also uses that jab as a form of defense to disrupt the other fighters offense. This should be quite clear from watching him fight...I don't see how you cannot see this.
Tu - Winky is in almost every form of the word a defensive fighter, and I don't think I've ever seen him incorporate the bob and weave technique into his strategy. His defense is based upon timing, accuracy and toughness.Comment

I agree man, anyone who dominates someone THAT bad and doesn't knock someone out, there's something wrong. Just look at B-Hop, dominated Tito in even less of a fashion and KOed him.Originally posted by BloodshedI see it. His arms and elbows take all the punches because he's shielding his body and chin. Fighting scared, or completely dominating your opponent. It depends on which way you see it. It's called The Sweet Science, not The Sweet Knockout.Comment

[QUOTE=GodzHand]Winky keeps his hands up over his face almost like a mask. Its impressive...but boring.Originally posted by BloodshedHe just puts his arms up. Thats his defense. Nothing spectacular.
Want to see a real defense?
Just putting his arms up? All boxers do that, why dont they get hit has infrequently as Winky?Comment

I'd rather look boring and win, than look exciting and get KO'd.Comment

Well, even less. Winky didnt EVEN TRY to knock Tito out.

I respect the "sweet science" but he could have had a "sweet knockout" but was to scared of opening himself open.
