By design, 24/7 is targeted towards people who wouldn't ordinarily watch ppv boxing matches. It's basically one big advertisement, segmented into a mini-series format.

Boxing fans already know who is in Floyd and Miguel's entourages. We know who their trainers are, and we know about the different personalities, job descriptions, and back history of everyone in their camps. The casual fan doesn't know any of this, so that's why the majority of 24/7 is a drawn out biopic, describing each team member in full detail.

The serious boxing fans get something out of 24/7 too, because it shows specific events that occur during camp which we might not otherwise know about, or would have to read in some 3rd party article whose source might not have verified credibility.

So, it's really for everyone, but targeted as an ad to sell the fight to casual fans.

I was actually more interested in Floyd-Cotto than in Pac-Bradley,
but that was BEFORE I got to see any of the 24/7. Suffice to say
that if I'd seen such quasi-gay shit from Cotto back in '09, I might
not have been eager to see Pac-Cotto.

        I mean --that "bed scene"....

I think the Cotto vs Foreman fight had the highest ratings for HBO a couple of years ago so I think the general public already knows who Cotto is.

Why would the 24-7 make a difference? Imo this 24-7 is complete ****. Floyd acting like a ignorant fool as usual and Cotto with his boring ass story that has been told 3 or 4 times already.....To answer the ts's question no it doesn't hurt it helps.

I think 24/7 only helps if theirs some hostility between the two fighters. There's gotta be some trash talk involved for it to help the actual PPV. Margarito - Cotto 24/7 was pretty entertaining because of that fact. So was May-Oscar, May-Hatton, May-Mosley etc. This 24/7 is boring and does nothing for the fight. The only people they are attracting from this 24/7 is angry PETA members and people interested in Diaz' knowledge of boxing. If they are not going to go down that route then at least focus more on the training aspects of their camp, why they do this workout and why they do that etc.

to me regardless how 24/7 is
I can't wait for the fight but I do admit
                I've seen better
hopefully once Cotto leaves to Las Vegas
                things will get better,
Mayweather is Mayweather he could sell a fight
                he gets under your skin
and all you want is to see him loose

I like their portrayal of Diaz as a "mad scientist" so to speak. He's more interesting than Cotto. Though I did rewind on a few of the parts with Cotto's wife.
