Because 24/7 gives exposure to the casual fans. That, without it, they wouldn't have.

All 24/7 does is bring in the casual audience. That's what it's there for.

Whether it's a poor or not it still helps the PPV. It portrays that's it's a good important fight and the casual eat it up. Again, It's main purpose.

It could be utter garbage, it still helps the PPV.

      I agree 100% brother.

I still haven't watched episode 2, everyone here says its sucky. So I probably won't.

Considering 24/7 won an Emmy-Award and has great ratings, I'd say it's definitely helping.

I think 24/7 will only ever help a fight. It impacts the casual fans, and can put an emotional investment for them into the fight(ers).
The impact it has on hardcore fans is minimal(positive or negative) IMO. Most hardcore fans will still purchase the fight if the 24/7 is bad. If its great, well they still order the ppv, so the buy is there at the end of the day.

The only thing I really remember is Miss Jackson's ass in them stretch pants in episode 2 but really 24/7 isn't for boxing junkies because all the stuff that comes up is pretty much known.
I dont know man...she seems kinda' think boned to me.....little chunky maybe?

She is about 2 times as big as Floyd! lol

Haven't seen one episode yet. I forgot all about it and really don't wanna see it. Miguel Boring Cotto, and then you got Floyd promoting the fight all by himself, hyping it up, doing the talking.

The promotion for this fight will basically translate right into the fight, Cotto will almost be non existant in the fight.

She is thick but her ass looked great in them stretch pants.

They are about the same size, with heels on she probably is a bit taller though~

Family man image? Focused? You make it sound like Cotto ACTS like he cares about his family and carries it like a persona. Friend, Cotto's just acting like a typical PR man, there is no "image" thing going on. This isn't a fake "Money" persona, or a fake "devoted" character from Pacman.

He's candid about everything. Why should he be compelled to act like an @sswipe to please some fans?

Exposure will surely be a positive thing.

How would u sell a boxing match to a viewer that isn't particularly interested in boxing? By making it more than a boxing match, which is exactly what 24/7 does.

You intertwine story lines, show colorful personalities, give a background on the fighters, make the boxers look like more than "boxers".

24/7 is how a I got my girl into boxing man. (who's interest didn't extend past the fact that i'ma boxer myself). I got her watching the Cotto/Margarito 24-7 and she loved it. To me, it was an interesting style match-up/rematch between two fighters I believed had something to prove at that point in their respective careers. To her, it was a classic hero vs. villain match up in sports where the hero was looking to avenge himself and the villain was looking to repeat performance.

You make it about family. you make it about country. pride. money. providing. ego. adversity. relationships etc. Something the casual viewer can always identify with, and get behind.

Its over sensationalized, its exaggerated at points, its dramatic. Its what viewers want. Which is exactly why only about 15% of 24-7 is about the actual training that happens at these camps.

It serves its purpose. Although I do agree that this 24/7 has been particularly watered down and forced down our throats.
