  • Comments Thread For: Gamboa: I Knew Abril Would Win, Rios is One-Dimensional

Former featherweight champion Yuriorkis Gamboa said that he wasn't surprised when Brandon Rios failed to make weight for his April 14th fight against Richard Abril at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. Rios weighed in at 137 pounds which was 2 pounds over the lightweight limit.

                This.

Gamboa should STFU about Rios. He had his opportunity and wasn't confident enough in his abilities to take it.

I hope whoever gamboa signs to fight, drops out of the fight a week before the fight is supposed to happen. He is a great boxer inside the ring, but conducts himself unprofessionally outside of it.

More than likely even if a Gamboa/Rios would had been scheduled that night it might not had gone foward with Rios irresponsibly not making weight.

Gamboa was suppose to come up in weight and on top of that would had to fight an over weight Rios, I don't see them fighting that night cause they are not like Abril that would had to take the fight cause they are not an attraction.
