Seems Paqciao is the only one required to make compromises so that the the fight can happen. Paq saying he will take lesser pay shows that he wants the fight.

What about Floyd? All we've been hearing are expiration issues: 14 days cut-off offer has expired, 50/50 offer has expired...

They do sound like bluffs to me. He's just been acting as if he really wanted the fight.

The IRS will get their money one way or another, it is only a big deal if one can't cover it, you don't know what he has already paid plus even if he is't liquid enough to cover the bill he has assets which can be sold.

You still seem awful excited, since you are ending like every sentence with an exclamation point or two. Unless you intend to make it seem like you are yelling, but why are you yelling?

Of course, he has assets. But IF he doesn't pay up, they will just take what he owes from his income before it even reaches his bank account. That's what they ended up having to do with Tyson, unfortunately.

i understand Floyds logic on this one. after the Marquez fight Pacquiao's stock definitely devalued.. plus Floyd would be getting ultimate revenge on Arum if he manages to secure his demands of a $40 mil flat fee, now that he has a justifiable reason to push it..
but in an ideal world they'd just agree the 50/50, get it over with you know..

It's really got nothing to do with How he did" in his last fight, or even his last 50 fights. It's all to do with how much of an attraction he is, and on that score he's easily as big an attraction as Mayweather. In fact a very good case can be made for the fact that he's a far bigger attraction, because he's a global idol, a franchise on his own, world wide, passing across the boundaries of merely sport.

There have been many fighters who have been popular regardless of whether they've lost or how many fights they've lost. Gatti for one Augustus for another, Oscar, and others. When I was a kid there was the original Golden Boy, who was Art Aragon of California. He was huge, whether he lost or not. Gaspar Ortega and Kid Azteca were huge in Mexico and had multiple losses. People loved John Wayne movies even though as art and acting successes they were low on the scale. Jimmy Walker (Beau James) was an enormously popular Mayor of New York although extremely corrupt and everything a Mayor shouldn't be.

Yes they will garnish his wages though, that is what the IRS does they get theirs no matter what.

I have both articles. Just forgot he already paid the 10. I take ownership when I misspeak. You don't seem to. Instead, you've been knit picking all my words trying to find even a small mistake.

Even AFTER paying a PAST DUE 10+ million to the IRS, he still needs to fight to make up for that kind of hit. Maybe, he was holding it knowing the IRS would come or maybe he thought the IRS wouldn't catch it. Then add another 3mil on top. That sucks!

I'm just glad I informed you that he does indeed have ongoing tax problems, which you were unaware of.
