You talkin bout a dude that got broken down by maidan a at 140lbs, knocked down against Berto, and was out from a nasty (although a little cheap) two piece from may. Kirkland would take any punches ortiz hits him with and knock him out by the 4th round. Vic's a good fighter but if he can't break you with his power, he'll crumble.

Ortiz is the better boxer, quicker hands and good amout of power, Ortiz would take it. Berto was a much stiffer test than Kirkland

All the people taking Ortiz, you're kidding me right? If you didn't see the thread title it clearly says "At '54", not too long ago Ortiz was a damn Jr. welter. Now, all of the sudden he can take on a huge Jr middleweight? We have NO clue what his power would be at the weight, or his punch resistance for that matter. Or how quickly he'd be able to move. I'm sorry, but Kirkland destroys him inside 4 rounds. People need to stop thinking about that Molina fight Kirkland looked bad in, Molina, or hell any fighter who uses that style is hard for anyone to handle, let alone look good against. But, think about it, who else has that style or fights like Molina in Kirkland's weight range? No one. People are just swinging on and off the bandwagon due to that s.hitty Molina fight.

I mean it's common sense. Ortiz has very little experience at welterweight, and none at Jr. middle. Kirkland can and has fought at middleweight numerous times. Kirkland's a huge puncher as it is. Ortiz' power would decrease at Jr. middle most likely, and given that and the fact he'd be facing a natural Jr. middle, Kirkland has the upper hand IMO. Can't believe how many people are picking Ortiz.

Dude, stop trolling. Anyone with common sense knows that wasn't Kirkland at his best. I'm talking about Kirkland at his best, ya know the one who destroyed Angulo? THAT Kirkland destroys Ortiz at Jr. middle when you take everything into consideration. I don't see how Ortiz would be able to keep Kirkland off of him. Like I said Kirkland is a big Jr. middle who can effectively fight at middleweight. Ortiz was a 140 lber not long ago. I mean, it's common sense to see why Kirkland has the upper hand.

...Ortiz is faster, has better stamina and is more explosive than Angulo....
He wouldn't let Kirkland get away. Ortiz is big even @ Welterweight....

                      Ortiz ends Kirkland's career....
