Ortiz is as big and as skilled as both. No one would be bullying anyone. Whoever lands harder is gonna win.

It's not like I think it would be an easy fight. I just slightly favor Kirkland.
i bolded a specific part of your post. look at it again. you seem to believe ortiz is the same fighter that fought maidana, that he'll fold under pressure. is that not what you said? "if maidana could do it, so can kirkland", or something along those lines. i think he's shown he can face difficulties in the ring post-maidana.
the whole comment isn't in response to you, perhaps i should have started a new paragraph.

well, you tell me what happened in angulo/kirkland? after the 1st round, did he not look tired? perhaps even the before he got KD'ed? i mean even roy jones and jim lampley were calling it. i never said that's what i believed happened but only stated many thought that.
and how is it a bad excuse? it's no one's fault but that fighter if he "punches himself out" or tires himself by trying to knock the opponent out/hurt him. who said they don't deserve credit? cause i know i didn't. ali beat foreman, and kirkland beat angulo, there's nothing to it.

i think ortiz stuns him, but i'm not sure. i slightly favor ortiz cause he seems to have a somewhat better chin and actually packs a punch. it's fire against fire really, both fighters have a chance. but if i had to make a gut decision on who to bet for, i'd go with ortiz.

I'm just saying that if you say "Well he only beat so and so because he tired out", it's like down playing the win. So I was just bringing up that one could downplay Ali knocking Foreman out because Foreman was done and gassed to s**t by the time the 8th round. It's just not fair to the winning fighter, it's not fair to downplay that win man.

i understand and i'm not. i'm just saying it's an opinion out there. you could look at it like this and take it for what it was.
did angulo look fresh at anytime after the 1st round? not really, it was pretty much a beatdown in kirkland's favor. no one is down playing anything. it's because of what kirkland did that made him able to beat angulo, right? he got off the canvas, survived a brief onslaught that angulo unleashed on him, and then kirkland returned the favor and was able to rock angulo and knock him down.
he beat angulo fair and square. all i'm saying is that angulo never got to really touch up kirkland in their fight besides that flash knockdown because he was too busy getting a beatdown, haha. with molina, he's not a big power puncher so no one really expected him to test kirkland's chin or rock him in that fight.
with ortiz, he carries serious power. that's what i'm saying. kirkland would be in there with someone who can really hurt him if he lands. problem is kirkland can do the same to ortiz. so it's a 50-50 fight really, but if i had to bet on someone, i'd go with ortiz cause i can picture him dropping kirkland before he gets dropped. and then from there, who knows...

Ortiz at least has some boxing skill. Of which, Kirkland has NONE.

Ortiz would beat him silly, taste canvas himself, and stop him by the 5th.
