Funny, I think it's Floyd that's overrated in this tread. I remember Mosley jumped 2 weight classes to fight the best welterweight in the world. Not just a lineal champ that really wasn't that good of a fighter. But the best prime welterweight on planet earth. Not 2008 version of Oscar, 2000 version of Oscar

There's nothing that has changed about Shane; he has always made the same mistakes over his career. He just made up for it in athletism. Floyd would beat him like he did in 2010 in 2000, 2006 or whenever Floyd is just simply better than Shane it might been a little more competive but same result.

What does that have to do with beating Floyd H2H prime for prime??? Floyd wasn't prime when they fought in 2010 either, he was 3-4 years removed from that. Shane was past his prime, but he was coming off knocking Margarito out and everybody and their brother said Floyd needed to fight Shane and that they'd give him big props for doing so. Well he did and he whupped him, and almost no one stuck to their word on that.

I'm picking the 2006/2007 Floyd at 147 to beat the 2000-2001 version of Shane at WW. Shane could have gotten it in 2005-2006 when he was past his prime-still good, but we know why that didn't happen. Oh well. They still fought when the two were highly ranked WW's and Floyd won.

I can't see any version of a prime Shane beating a prime Floyd, just can't.

Floyd beat Mosley when he was supposed to do it. However that version of Shane was nothing, couldn't hold a candle to the 2000 version. The prime version of Shane was a fabulous physical speciment. Big speed, stamina, workrate, fighters mentality. He had the chin, speed, stamina, power & physicality to over power Floyd.

                      I favour a Floyd U.D but I wouldn't rule out Shane forcing a stoppage.
