Who exactly said it was a big deal? The only reason it was a big deal was it was a revenge fight and was sweet revenge for Cotto and his fans. You're absolutely wrong about Cotto not standing his ground though. Despite being a smaller guy he pushed that little hoe around the ring and bossed him about the whole fight. Margarito is a b1tch and got treated like one.

i agree with you but to all these other posters who thought margarito was some type of beast should give cotto credit for beating margo but i'm with you margarito has never done anything meaningful in his career for him to be one of the more recognizable names in the sport

A lot of people were talking major **** that Margarito would still win. They claimed that the style was all wrong for Cotto. Well, Margarito fought the same fight and got pushed around all night and was battered. Yet, now they say Margarito was a bum and the style didn't matter, smh. Margarito was always a bum, including the first fight, he simply cheated to get the victory.

Of course Cotto won this time, it was at his best weight class where he is undefeated and has a 100% KO ratio.

Mayweather is going to be the first fighter to defeat Cotto at his best weight class and the first to take away Cotto's 0 at 154. Cotto currently has a KO ratio record of 100% and mayweather is going to end it, that alone speaks volumes to mayweather's undeniable ATG skill.

I still saw the same fight, margarito was turning it up, and cotto was slowing down. It was just taking longer because cotto switched up his gameplan and had an extra advantage.

I wonder if you even watched that fight...in the 9th...supposedly Margs best round...

Cotto pushed him around the ring and landed more power punches than Margs. All Marg had were arm punches in the inside. Margs was wearing down and all the laughing and shoulder shrugging from his end were done...he wasn't going to get KOd, but rounds 10-12 would have been a sustained beating for Margarito

I saw the same exact fight as the first one except margarito was fighting with one eye and a newly broken orbital bone and cotto wasn't standing his ground as much as the first fight.

I even saw cotto weakening right before they stopped the fight. He was looking like that(his facial expression and body language) before he suddenly broke in the first fight too

the rematch does nothing to prove margarito was loaded in the first fight
