He knows that without a catch-weight, Cotto would not only win, he would dominate Manny. This thread was about how many real losses does Cotto have. I believe that he has one real loss and that was against Manny, catch-weight or not. Cheeto cheated. Clottey got out-hustled down the strecth. Someone should have told him to throw punches instead of playing passive-defense. Cotto was the champ and that did nothing to sway the judges. Cotto one-eyed and all went for the win like he always does. I can't do anything but respect the man. He comes to fight and is not worried about his record like some others including Floyd. My thing is just get in the ring and fight! All of these new rules fighters try and make today makes the fans MAD and does nothing for their future legacy or lack there of.
You're delusional. The weight had little to do with Cotto getting patted down by Pacquiao. It had more to do with speed, power, angles and workrate. Cotto had no problems making that weight and you know it.

The weight had to make a difference. If it didn't, Manny wouldn't of requested it.

Respect to Cotto for taking the high road and not blaming the defeat on the weight. But having to lose the extra pounds and then not being able to rehydrate past a certain weight had an impact on Cotto's performance and stamina.

Manny likely would've won without the weight clause, but you can't have it both ways. if it wasn't an issue, why ask for it.

He's undefeated at 154 lbs. A weight where chicken Pac wouldn't fight him and at a weight where he beat the **** out of Margarito.

Well, if we go by Floyd's theory that Cotto is undefeated then that means Floyd is DEFEATED.

He is not undefeated. Its a way to promote the fight and for Floyd to feel that he is not fighting somebody's left over.

Fact is that Cotto lost twice

He thought it would but it didn't. The fight is over...we all know the result. Cotto won only 1 round.....2 pounds or 4 pounds would have not made a difference. The class of fighter Pacquiao is miles away from what Cotto is.

Do u think the weight made a difference in the Marg vs cotto 2? Why was it fought at a catchweight and not at the full 154? So it's the weight that made marg lost then.

Typical bull sheet from May to try and tweak things to his favour.

I believe Marg used dodgey raps against Miguel. But Cotto got close wins over Mosely, Clottey, and lost fair to Manny.

May saying he's fighting him at a fair weight is BS.

Does that mean we should simply take a loss of Marquez's record, for making him fight a higher weight, further still than Manny, coming in heavier than you were supposed to giving a much bigger weight discrepency.

                      Convenient that, Floyd.
