Who will go down as the greater fighter Juan Manuel Marquez or Tito Trinidad?

  • Tough 1 to call.

Tito looked more explosive and only lost to world class fighters. Marquez lost to a nobody on his debut and has losses to John, Norwood, 2 to Pac and 1 to Floyd but he does have longevity which Tito doesnt.

Id go with Tito because looked great and only lost past his prime and out his weight. Marquez has lost throughout his career

    • Whether ppl wanna acknowledge it or not, the fact still remains Tito got busted with illegal wraps and only beat Mayorga after that. His resume is great but accomplishments are tainted

I count coming back from adversity quite highly when there isn't really much to choose from elsewhere.

        • this goes to show how much marquez lives of pacquiaos success. his best wins are katsidis casamayor and diaz. i guess jermain taylor is greater than hopkins because he beat him twice and norton is greater than foreman because he had close fights with ali. marquez lives of pacquiaos name. he never fought a prime barrera, he ducked an ancient morales. he didnt want to fight khan. he just hanpicks opponents and fights pacquiao cautiously and claims he is the greatest. i dont buy that crap. dude aint proved ****.

Adversity isn't measured by losses solely.

No but how you respond certainly does. Retiring isn't the best benchmark.

his best win is Baby Fat Diaz and Katsidis
his best win is manny pacquiao.

JMM is a better fighter but resume wise they are pretty close so I don't know...

Retiring tells nothing about reaction to adversity--unless you pretend to know why the person is doing so, which is the case here. Having seen Trinidad get up from eight knockdowns and early pressure to win by KO eight times, I think he does just fine in adverse conditions.
