I don't know many. And, just because one is exception to the "rule"(not really a rule) doesn't mean everyone is the same. Plus with his age, not even sure he has expereince his "man strength" yet.

And, I'm not even a Canelo fan. I don't think he is that good personally. I have said it before that I would pick Chavez Jr over him. I think a lot of people will be disappointed on how his career turns out. His whole hype is his age. But, yes he is young, lack of amateur experience doesn't matter what anyone says how irrelevant that might be it matters. And, looked the level of comp he has fought, yes he is green. There really hasn't been a step up level fight yet.

Picking Chavez jr isn't exactly going out on a limb. Canelo is stubby as hell. I think JR would work him and it's not a slight at Canelo. Just too small.

Well yeah it's a factor because Canelo is inexperienced at the elite level, forget the number of fights, the best fighter he faced is a shop worn Kermit Cintron. That tells you everything you need to know about this level of comp.

The Mayweather factor does play a part. People are saying he isn't ready and that he is too green "FOR FLOYD".

I don't see anyone in his class that could possibly get him ready for Floyd, and if Canelo wants to fight him, why shouldn't he want to fight the best?

I'm not talking about just H2H type of fight. I'm talking about P4P level. If they were the same size I think Chavez is more proven. And, I don't think Canelo is not going to be what people believe what he could be. Now I might be wrong and he might, he is young. But, he is more unproven that what Chavez Jr is. Canelo is a pretty green fighter. If Canelo didn't have the belt he might still be considered somewhat a prospect. Having that belt that he didn't earn makes him a contender and a mark man, just like Chavez Jr I understand that.

not at all homie im definitly not a *****, im just saying when peolple talk about canelo fighting kirkland and a few others no one calls him "green". actually kirkland and a few others sww have been refered as easy fights for him. only when they talk about him fight floyd is the word "green" ever used and thats the truth. floyd isnt superman he can be beat like any one else. so if canelo isnt "green" when fighting any other champion why is he "green" for floyd

P.S. this isnt a pro floyd thread its a pro canelo thread

Chavez Jr is not even green, he just sucks.

If Canelo is still green, then the guy has a lot of potential to be a very good fighter, Definitely find him to be a better fighter than the sloppy ass weakinling ducker Chavez Jr.

gb has definitly been careful with him but so has tr and other promoters wilth their money makers. there are alot of guys out there with ****ty resumes who if they fought floyd or manny wouldnt be called green. no one is ever ready until there ready. imo hes about to be read to test the waters at the top. i wouldnt cry if he fought may,pac or martinez real soon
