Maybe he could still make 135lbs but just not the way he does it. He gets fat in between camps and I really wonder what his diet looks like during training because I genuinely believe he eats the wrong things. Of course he looks terrible at the weigh-in because he seems to rely simply on dehydrating himself to the extreme, and that's no good. All this talk of the weight coming off slowly with the help of his nutritionist was bull****, it was the same as always.
I'm not of the opinion that he's huge at the weight either. He's a strong enough lightweight but I can't see him having the same success he does now at 140lbs and certainly not 147lbs, that would be career suicide.Comment

he can make the weight, he is not discipline enought to do it...I think Rios gets sparked by B-level fighters at '40. He's had trouble making '35 (or even '37 at that) for the last three or four years. Why drain yourself continuously at a weight class you know you can't make weight in anymore as opposed to going up to a loaded division? There's a reason why he doesn't just move up.Comment

BS, he is just 25 years old and he can make the weight if he try like a professional will do, training and eating right but he doesn't do it that way, his trainer Garcia's is a fault too, what a bunch of unprofessionals...While it is sad. We all know that he cant make 135 anymore, Hell, he knows he cant make 135 anymore, but he did give a solid effort to make the weight. There's no need in killin himself any longer, it's time for BamBam to move up. Hell he might have to skip 140 altogether.Comment
