These are the Fat Cubans own words from a Reuters article on Yahoo Sports dated March 19, 2011.
"I hurt my knee when I went down. It was unlucky but unfortunately these things happen," said a dejected Solis. "It will take a lot of time for me to get over this because I am not used to losing."

So, what do these words mean? He didn't say he went down because he hurt his knee. He stated that he hurt his knee when he went down. So why did he go down to begin with? Did he slip on a wet canvas? Did he trip over and untied shoelace? Did he swing and miss and his momentum took him to the floor? Or did he get tangled up with his opponent and trip? Nope, none of the above.
And honestly there really is no mystery to why he went down. And as hard as it is for me to break the news to the Fat Cuban's fan and also to the Vit haters. He simply went down because he was hit with a punch. He was also obviously wobbled and could not continue. And anyone one of you can twist it and split hairs all you want but at the end the day the fight was scored correctly as a legitimate stoppage.
In closing I also want to touch on one other matter. And that is in all my years of watching boxing I have never seen so many so called fans but so much stock into the first two minutes of a fight when the fighter landed less then five punches. And I absolutely believe it is absurd to do so. After all it wasn't like it was a 3 round amateur fight.
