I have no idea why he's fighting him.

It's a tune up and barely even that.

He's British domestic level, not going much further either.

Such a ****** fight if it happens.

He's like 20 years old. The only reason he's expected to fight top fighters is because of a belt. Well, he probably doesn't deserve a belt but he certainly shouldn't be forced into the very tough fights yet. Perez was a top 10 fighters in his division fyi.

he should fight tough fights, but he plans on fighting another 2 times this year, so if he fights 4 times a year, then a tune up is ok. s far as ppl acting like he hasnt ofught anyone, hes younger than mikey garcia and gary russell, the other two top prospects around his weight and he already has a better resume. so, really, theres not much that needs to be said.

If this happens, it's worse than the Monty Meza Clay fight.

Why not Argenis Mendez or Juan Carlos Burgos, two top 10 ranked SFW???

As far as Broner hasn't fought anyone.....

He fought Ponce De Leon, Litzau (coming off beating Caballero), and Perez (a top 10 ranked SFW contender). He's fought decent opposition so far, but Clay or Sykes is a step backward big time.

He should fight Mendez/Burgos in May, Escobedo in July/August, and than try for a Salgado unification late in the year. That's be the best road to take.

Broner has been in much better fights than Russell or Garcia have, that's not even worth talking about. But, Clay or Sykes is a huge step in the wrong direction for Broner. He's fought Ponce De Leon, Litzau, and Perez, all good fights at the time no doubt.

I don't see why he doesn't go for Argenis Mendez or Juan Carlos Burgos, 2 Top 10 RING SFW and 2 Top 10 WBO SFW.

Than, have the Escobedo fight in July/August back in Ohio, where Broner's already a big draw.

Cap the year off with trying to land unification fights with either Juan Carlos Salgado (the most realistic unification obviously) or Uchiyama.

That's what Broner should be doing. Than, go to Lightweight starting in Spring 2013, or rematch Ponce De Leon in the spring, and than jump to LW.

                    Gary Sykes!?

                    Jesus...

I like the guy but he does not deserve this fight. Broner hands him a destructive defeat.

i agree with everything u said of course, im kind disappointed in his opponent choice, i mean i yea, i get the whole point of a tune up, but a guy at that level is simply a waste of time. imo hed get more from sparring than fighting some bum on hbo.
