Why ask for 8 oz gloves for a 154 lbs fight?

Floyd/Mosley was at WW where most fights use 8 oz gloves. For Floyd to ask for 10 oz would be a complete chicken move. After seeing what Mosley did to Margarito, Floyd wanted to lessen the effects of Mosley's punching power, thus the 8 oz gloves... Oh wait... 8oz gloves. Something's not quite right here. I thought he wanted to lessen the effects. He should have used 10 oz gloves, if he wanted to lessen the effects.
Once again proving my point that the allegations you heard about Floyd wanting 10 oz gloves against Pac are simply untrue.
Floyd/Cotto is at 154, not 150 or 147. List down the fights you know at full 154 that used 8 oz gloves.Comment

Action speaks louder than words.
A rumour comes out saying Floyd wants 10 oz, yet he agrees to 8oz gloves. (A case of action speaking louder than baseless words)
A rumour comes out that Pac is juicing in '09. Pac denies, refuses to take a test for 2 years. Says he'll take a test now. But still hasn't. He still hasn't demonstrated action speaks louder than his words.
How come you believe Pac when he says that he's clean. But still to undergoe random drug testing. Yet when Roach allegedly claims Floyd wanted 10 oz, you'll take fully on the chin. Even though, Floyd agreed to using 8 oz gloves. And has said a 100 times over after the De La Hoya fight, he hated using 10 oz gloves because they felt like pillows. Why not judge fairly? Why the extra nitpicking? What good does it serve you?Comment

Floyd is obviously looking to get Cotto out of there and isn't worried about Miguel landing much of consequence.Comment

Makes no difference. Floyd could have requested for the Mosley fight to be at 154, in the same you way apparently claim he wanted to do with Pacquaio.Comment
