Was it wrong that Raheem didn't get the Pacquiao Shot over Morales?

Boxing is a business first and foremost. What usually makes the most money for the fighters and promoters is the priority. Raheem was not going to do it, specially with the type of fight that it was. If Raheem gave the fans an exciting fight and made a statement then he couldn't be denied but to run all night and potshot? I don't think you get a nice payday with that kind of work.

Pacquiao is actually more of a lightweight than a true welterweight. He eats and drinks normally on weigh in day not like the others who have to cut back on food and fluids.
Is that why he stipulated that Bradley meet him at 147 ... because he's more of a LW?

Or is it because when people look back at this crap and criticize Manny for fighting a jrWW at this juncture, Manny will argue that Bradley was technically a WW on fight night?

Think about that for a moment.

No .. you really didn't think that through before you wrote it.

Maybe you should re-read that and catch your error.

Only reason morales vs pacman 2 was made was beacuse of how close and exciting the first fight was .

So why should zahir be entitled when he went on too prove he was just a mediocre fighter .

So if that dude marquez knocked out in mexico wouldve beat marquez does that entitle him to a pacman shot ? Use your brain
You are the one who should use your brain. Are you saying only A-class fighters should get a shot at Pac? Oscar Larios had been knocked out in his last fight when Pac fought him. David Diaz was the fourth best fighter at 135 when Pac fought him. Joshua Clottey was the epitome of a mediocre fighter, losing against every significant opponent he ever fought, and Pac fought him. Margarito was knocked out and served a one year suspension when Pac fought him. If you think Raheem was a mediocre fighter after beating Morales from pillar to post, what the f**k were these other fighters that I have mentioned in this post?

There is no comparison between Mayweather's situation and this one. Mayweather fought Judah because Baldomir turned down a Mayweather fight so that he could get a large payday against Arturo Gatti. Also, after Mayweather beat Judah, his next fight was against Baldomir. You can't say the same about Pac fighting Raheem after Pac got his revenge against Morales.

On another note, I don't blame Pac for not taking the Raheem fight. After all, Pac doesn't decide who he fights or when. Arum does. Pac simply takes the 10percent of the profits from his fights that Arum throws him (after Arum takes his 27 percent and Koncz takes is share) and does what he is told.

What part of my post don't you understand. I said he is more a lightweight (like all other lightweights) but he chooses to fight as a welterweight because he does not have to cut back on food and water like everyone else is doing because he is much stronger and faster when he does this.

So why should he go back to what he used to do and what others are doing now, cutting back food and water and diminishing his performance. Obviously most other fighters believe otherwise, they would rather drain themselves to fight in a lower division and believing by bulking up above that weight on fight night gives them an advantage. Pacquiao is showing us otherwise.

Believe me, as a fan, I wasn't interested in watching another Raheem fight. If there was a show of skill? Maybe I would. However that fight against Morales was a total borefest, he ran all night, I would be hard pressed to call it a boxing match. It was painful to watch, like watching grass grow.

Pacquiao is not a lightweight. He was starving at 135, this is from Roach and Co.

Exactly, that's my point. Everyone else starves themselves to make weight. Pacquiao does not need to do this because he finds he's stronger and faster when he doesn't starve and drain himself. That's why he is fighting welterweights.

He can starve and drain himself and make lightweight or even super feather like everyone else but he would rather not and instead willing to fight bigger guys at welter.
