they were in different divisions at that time so there is no such thing as right or wrong as far raheem getting a shot at pac.

by the time pac moved up to 135, raheem was already irrelevant getting ktfo in 4 by funeka.

No, because for starters, it was Morales coming off a drubbing. Second, Morales did not want the fight at 130 at all. Shouldn't you respect Morales, a great Mexican warrior who just beat you, and fight at the weight he wants?

Raheem wasnt good at all, he just had speed and a style that troubled past prime morales. Pac would have flattened Raheem because he had the speed to catch him. Morales at 135 and above is slow and has no power. Theres no doubt that morales was a better fighter than raheem but not at 135 and not at that point in his career. He had trouble landing on him and when he did land he couldnt hurt him.

I can see why Pac/Roach wanted the rematch, of course they lost to morales so want to get the win. Im not sure what morales-pac 3 proved, especially making it at 130. Pac tainted his legacy with all of these weight games.

well morales could have told pac to **** off and stayed at 135...couldn't he? it's not like someone was forcing a gun to his head...so he signed the fight against pac at 130...i give respect to morales for not only giving pac the rematch but going back down to 130 to do it...plus morales lost his debut fight at 135..so it would only seem natural to go back down to the weight you performed well at (ie. what maidana is doing now). ..and the weight that he beat pac at less than a year ago.

But that fight, like many, was about the bottom line and that usually means the fans - and the overall well-being of the sport - get overlooked.
You're implying the merit system applies in boxing. Considering you're a Mayweather fan, I find that pretty funny. And ironic.

I could've sworn you're always going on about Khan not rematching Prescott even though Prescott has taken several "drubbings"

I guess you aint even trying with the whole impartial act any more

Why? It's no better than when Mayweather fought Zab over Baldomir. And the merit system is one the fans should use. We're the ones paying.

it's only in the 3rd fight that morales asked to fight at 135 or at a catchweight. the 2nd fight was negotiated at 130 without any problem especially after morales didn't look good at his first try at 135.
