How old are you??? No joke. Are you like a teenager or something??? Or some college kid or something??? It'd be nice to know so I can better understand what generation or mindset that you're coming from.

Cotto is not DONE. That's just ridiculous. He's not prime anymore, hasn't been since the 1st Margarito fight, but he's still good. Show me in video from 2009 to 2011 where his skills are so vastly different or that they have diminished all that much. Please show me.
I just explained to you how they are different and you just get worked up and start talking about my age or whatever. You didn't even respond to the point I made.

There is no comparison between Frazier getting quickly KOed by Foreman to Cotto getting brutally beat down twice over almost a full course of a fight.

    Try again.

Or, if you didn't buy floyd/mosley or floyd/ortiz because he didn't answer Bob's countdown clock then they would be fighting now?

Or they both would've taken tougher but less lucrative fights? I get your point and its very noble but it just doesn't make sense. If you don't support the most popular fighters that doesn't lead to better fights it leads to networks putting on other things that turn a profit.
I personally haven't bought a single one of their fights!

The thing is they're already stars, its not like they need to build a fanbase, they already do over 1 million PPV buys so why should we keep buying their crap fights?

If the numbers for their next fights were **** then OBVIOUSLY, it would put more pressure on them to fight each other. I know its not going to happen (too many idiots like turbotard) but the logic is correct.

But as long as people like you keep buying these joke fights they keep putting out, then expect it never to happen.
after the marquez fight the floyd-pac fight doesnt seem as big, yea it's a fight people still wanna see but i don't think to many still believe manny can beat floyd

They are different. But you act as if the punches Joe took from Ali in 71', getting killed and knocked down 6 times by Foreman, and than getting hit all night by Ali in 74' would have no similar effect??? People back then were saying Frazier is done in 74-75 and he showed he clearly wasn't in the 3rd Ali fight. After that, yes, Joe Frazier was "shot"/"done".

And no, your age just reenforces what peope think of you.

Show me from 2009 to 2011 where Cotto's skills have diminished or where he looks so different to be called "done"???? Please show me man....

Does that mean we shouldn't see it? And we should see Floyd fight a dead Cotto instead? Or Pacquaio fight a terribly average fighter like Bradley instead? Stop lying to yourselves.

If Gatti was still alive and you did a Gatti Ward 4, no matter how good the other 3 fights were, the lack of name recognition of these fighters means the fight wouldn't sell more than 300-400k on ppv, even though its clear the 2 of them fighting each other is pure gold.

But its always been charismatic fighters and not great matchups that has sold seats. Sometimes we get lucky and get ALi-Frazier I or SRL-Hearns 1.

It sucks but Chavez Martinez is always gonna outsell Martinez Golovkin or Martinez Pirog. Not buying Chavez Martinez is not gonna force Martinez to fight the best MW. If anything, it makes him fight a Manny or floyd at a BS catchweight for more money.
I don't feel the strategy has ever been tried by the fans in boxing. The difference with Ali-Frazier and Leonard vs Hearns is the fact that back then you only got big money for fights of that magnitude. Now PBF or Manny could fight the bum of the month at make $20Mill. Back then if it wasn't a real big or super fight you wasn't going to get paid huge bucks. It should be that way now.

Truthfully that strategy works in other sports. In football when your stadium is empty the owner fires the GM and coaching staff to get the fans back. In basketball the samething happens. When fighters and promoters start to lose money cause fans aren't blindly following and paying money for BS fights on paper and in the ring then it will go back to how it used to be. Where fans routinely got good to great matchups.

What do you want me to show you? I can't make you see what you don't wanna see. You're referencing years where he has either fought bums like Foreman or Mayorga or a one eyed Margarito who was more DONE than him.

And you can even tell in those fights, he was very vulnerable. The biggest thing is what you can't physically see and that's his mental state, the guy quit mentally twice in his two biggest fights!

Don't bother. Dumb limeys are still mad at Floyd beating Hatton.
