    Not since 2008.

The third Marquez fight made that evident and debunked that myth, finally.

        Pretty much.

Marquez still caused him tons of problems.

size aside i dont think he'd have been able to implement the strategy he implemented against de la hoya when he was say at the ledwaba stage. he was still a bit rough around the edges

it depends how far back you go.

he's still obviously not beyond getting outboxed by a great like marquez, (or mayweather for that matter,) but i do think he's shown some improvements.

he's a bit more responsible (still gets tagged.) he'll use his footspeed other than simply for closing distance (still does his best when he doesn't have to.)

matchmaking obviously has a good deal with what he's able to do as well. and now of course he's reaching the stage where he'll decline physically.

Frazier and Norton caused Ali a lot of trouble .... what are you going to say about Ali? Is Ali worthy?

to boot ... Foreman didn't just beat Frazier and Norton,..... he annihilated them.

so Foreman was supposed to do the same heavy damage with Ali, right?

this guy is saying that Marquez and Pacquiao are evenly matched.. and goes on to show footage of Marquez vs Mayweather as proof of Manny Pacquiao losing? Different styles.. totally different fighters.

Not to mention Marquez didn't adjust to the weight properly for the fight, Mayweather didn't make weight and came in looking like a Middleweight.

Manny is not on the decline.

Manny Pacquiao is the same boxer who fought Barrera and Morales.

He's no different. Its just that he's run out of losers to target, and when that happened, he had to step up against men who can box and move instead of just losers who plod forward and retreat backwards.

Mosley ran but showed that Pacquiao isn't effective at all unless you stand and trade.

JMM simply moved to the sides after punching and left Manny looking confused and desperate.

Manny has NOT improved. If he has in one aspect, its in stamina. His stamina to dart in and out for 12 rounds is impressive.

As a technical boxer, no he hasn't even made any adjustments.

His approach and methods are ALL the same with some added stamina.

Those things are the measure of improvement.

He has improved. He's more cerebral now. Obviously his boxing IQ isn't gonna help him out think a guy like Marquez or Floyd cause let's face it, who can?

But I look at the Cotto fight and he thought his way through that fight. His gameplan in the beginning wasn't working and he worked on finding ways to take away Cotto's jab, I really felt like you could just see him kind of figure Cotto out over the course of like 3 rounds and then take over.

That to me is an improvement, he wasn't carefully figuring guys out like that. The fact that he's facing bigger guys has made him think a little more and that may not be the way to fight a guy like Marquez, but it doesn't mean he hasn't improved.
