His skills have improved a bit but his ring IQ has not. Compare that to Floyd where his skills are pretty much the same but his ring IQ has grown considerably albeit with some offensive limitation (i.e. more defensive oriented approach).

I think he improved his right hand. If you check the third fight with JMM, he actually tagged several times Marquez with right hands, counter-punching. Pacquiao has always had very strong legs but still doesnt know how to walk in the ring like Finito Lopez or JMM. He is still very fast and strong, but a boxer who controls the distance in the ring nulifies his speed. Not much improvement. Great entertainer, full of action fighter.

nahh, its clear to me the right hand thing is a myth. he hasnt improved that much since the jmm fight. hes just been better than everyone hes fought except for jmm and thats why he will never beat the guy nor anybody greater than him.

He still overextends and gets outs of position, but not to the degree he used to. I think he has improved, just not as much as many thought.

I agree with this. It's his sense of range that he's somewhat improved in. He doesn't always run in (anymore), shuffling his feet and throwing punches on his way in and getting away with it because his opposition was slower. Mind you, he's far from a disciplined boxer still, but there's a few things he does better..He will still sometimes not have both his feet planted when throwing a punch (as in, mid step) and you see how silly it looks when someone just steps to the side of that and counters him... (see jmm-pac 3)

Defensively? Not really...He just puts his gloves up and steps straight back most of the time. He's basically just a bigger/faster/stronger version of himself fighting worse opposition at 147 than he did while lighter so it seems he's improved..but Marquez has shown he still has no idea what to do/adjust in the long run against a man with actual boxing skills (Shane don't count..he's all but admitted that his body can't capitalize on openings anymore)...

Hence people seeing Pac as prey to a slick boxer who's bigger, stronger, faster than him...

Weather we like to admit it or not, Pac is a pretty straight forward and predictable fighter. Still like him and his limited capabilities though. Who says simple has to be bad?

his choice of opponent has in Bradley....Manny has went from saling cigs to saling out arenas....he now drives nice fast sport cars...he flies around in 1st class or he might wanna private jet it....dude has IMPROVED in my book lol

as far as his boxing skills, he's been with Roach all these years....no need for me to express my feelings on him as a trainer...he's worthless in my book...so yall can guess how I feel about Manny so called improvements...dude already had the stuff that makes a superstar....he struggled coming up and fought with hunger....he was always relentless and ballsy...thats why he's a rare breed...nothing Roach has done has made him more of a fighter than he already was imo

Improved or not, what cannot be denied is that he did a number on marquez' face

Marquez is already considered an excellent technician, and considering that pac was only really hurt by a headbutt, by comparing the state of each of their faces, Pac is obviously an even more superior technician than marquez now.
