  • Molina is a joke

The guy is pathetic, i hate holding and clinching i hate BHOP, Ward, and what Alexander did against Maidana but this was a disgrace. My buddy came over to watch the gfight we expected a war and this ****** was clinching the whole fight and ruined it. Anyone who praises that style and way of winning is only doing it cause they like the fighter doing it. He should have been deducted atleast 2 points

It's a disgusting style. He's clearly just trying to survive and he knew he won't survive trading punches or just doesn't have the stamina to move around and avoid punches. This guy needs the best conditioning expert he could get.

If holding is against the rules, why don't the refs do anything about it... EVER?

Either they should legalize clinching/holding completely or enforce the rules. Right now fans are just ****** with how it's not called.

but molina always fights like this so what you're saying is not true, it's not like he fought like this specifically against kirkland.

he should get some respect, even if it was ugly and annoying. He's good at that smothering/clinching style.

Now with that said, if you have a problem with it you guys should be complaining about the ref who allowed it to happen. There were times where long periods of time would go while in a clinch and nothing was happening at all and the ref just stood there with his thumb up his butt. He should have been quicker to break them up and one can argue he should have issued some warning/took points.

it depends totally on the ref and the circumstances. There are lots of fights where a fighter is deducted points for excessive holding. One that pops into mind is berto vs collazo.

And when he did the fight turned from a clinch-fest to FOTY candidate.

Go figure... are fans too dumb to realize that they are hurting their own entertainment by praising this **** style?

Ya fuck him or anyone who fights like that.

It was disgusting and painful to watch.

Thank god Kirkland knocked him down and was going to finish him in rd 11 or 12.

Watch Lewis-Akinwande if you want to watch a dude get dq'd for holding.

Anyhow it is a negative way of fighting but it can be very effective and if that is a guys best way to win, I want them to play to win. I will watch all styles even ****ty ones if a guy is a top guy but can understand people not digging it.
