That must have been a new interview, because when Juan Larena of Combate Space interviewed him at ringside of I don't remember what fight it was, Martinez said he will not fight Bute, Ward or any other Super Middleweight because they will be to big for him.

And after that he said he wanted a fight with Floyd LOL!

Pac fought Margarito at 150, and Floyd fought DLH at 154. Floyd is gonna fight Cotto at 154. The major difference between Martinez and DLH/Margarito/Cotto is that Martinez is actually in his prime, he's a greater threat.

Sergio stated that he would be open to a catch-weight fight with Ward. It's Dibella that continues to say that they won't go up any further, so idk who to believe on that front.

Floyd has already stated that Sergio@150 is on his radar, and I remember Ann Wolfe saying that Kirkland wouldn't mind going up to 160 if the opportunity presented itself.

This fight will never happen. Canelo is not ripe yet for a fight of this level. Sergio is a bum! Why doesn't he fight any elite fighters during their prime? Why will he move in weight for some either not ready fighters or has beens but won't move in weight for quality opposition? Why does he want to fight JCC jr so badly underestimating him but won't take on Ward or Bute when he himself walks around above Super Middle? The last 2 fights have proven his fight against a drunk on a downward spiral of a Pavlik and something wrong with his brain causing slower reflexes than normal Williams do not qualify him for p4p consideration. It is a disgrace that he uses a translated form of Hagler's moniker because there is nothing MARVELOUS about Pollo Martinez.

Martinez is afraid to face Andre Ward? STFU. Martinez has said he is open to fighting Andre Ward. But let's remember, it's easier to move down 3lbs in weight them move up 11 pounds and face a Super Middleweight, who is no doubt the best.
