The facts are well presented. De La Hoya, rehydrated to weigh-in over 170 lbs on fight night. That's more than 17 lbs at the very least. Victor Ortiz did the same thing, the difference was the the fight was at 147, so his weight was only 164 lbs. Shane Mosley too, did the same damn thing. All three fighters had a significant weight advantage.
And yet, you think a full-blown Middleweight, won't do the same thing? When he's already done as much for his Middleweight fights, rehydrating 15, 18, and more pounds? Martinez has already been doing this -- this is fact. Do your homework.
Another thing, quit trying to flip numbers around to make it seem like Pacquaio is 7 lbs lighter than Mayweather. He is not! On fight night, they virtually weigh basically the same! Pacquaio typically comes into the fight around 147/148, and Mayweather does the same thing with his max weight being 150 lbs. Even for the Cotto fight, he's even said already that he will come in around 150, not 154.
