yea of course, it's funny how the thread is about floyd making exuses yet all u are doing is making oppinionated excuses.shane didn't fight in 16 months o k but that was because no one wanted to fight him. how do u know the 16 month layoff was the reason for the way shane performed?and you even kinda try to make an excuse for the margo fight and margaito state of mind yet margarito seems to get beat up in alot of his fights even in his win over cotto so i don't understand why it's impoosible to believe that shane pounding on margarito has anything to do with the fact that shane is just a much better boxer than margarito and as far as a fighters mind set some seem to forget that shane was dealing with a divorce and the whole balco situation at the time of the margarito fight

I'm a huge Winky fan but he did turn down the Floyd fight. Mosley also did in 2005-2006 as well with the tooth thing. He got it 4 years later anyway.
I don't get how Floyd can have so many good wins that people just refuse to give him credit for now. Genaro, Manfredy, Corrales, Castillo, Hatton, Mosley, Ortiz, and others, it's the same old story. Before he signs to fight them, he's avoiding them. Once he signs to fight then, it's a "cherry pick".
Cherry pick, duck, shot, are the most over used words by people that don't know a damn thing or haven't been following the sport very long. It's okay to use them every once in awhile, but the rate that some people do on here is just ridiculous.

I kind of knew they were giving him 9 (million), but I think it should of been 50-50 like I've said. He's a small guy, a great fighter, but if he wants to fight, he isn't the big draw. He isn't (the draw) like he thinks he's (Oscar) De La Hoya so if we're going to do it, we will do it 50-50 or we just won't do it.
