So let me get this straight, Sergio is to small for Ward but not for Floyd or Manny ( both of whom have had only ONE fight in the 150 arena).

You guys just want Sergio to beat Floyd and Manny on physicality because we both know skill for skill, he wouldnt beat Manny or Floyd (or Ward).

Sergio is a middleweight, how is he too small for fight Ward especially if Ward moves down to a catchweight of 164, which has has stated in the past he would do.

Ward started his boxing career at 160...stop protecting Sergio.
Why could Mayweather fight Oscar at 154 but not Sergio?

Why could Pacquiao fight Margarito at 150 but not Sergio?

Ward would beat Maravilla for a few reasons. Maravilla's low guard, his problems eating right hands and most important. Ward's ability to follow his game plan would prevail against a man who Always brings the same plan.

Sergio needs to stop calling out welterweights.....Ward is a middleweight (albeit super) like himself. You just want Ward to go to LHW becasue you cant tink of a reasonable reason why Sergio shouldn't fight Ward.
Man, Ward can kiss my azz. The puto ducked Bute plain and simple, the guy even said he would come to America and fight in the coward's backyard and Ward said he needed to spend time with his family.

Last time I checked, Sergio was calling out Chavez jr......you know, the MIDDLE WEIGHT guy who re-hydrates up to 178 pounds on fight night? Sergio started his career at 147, then spent 90% of it at 154, he is a small guy, Ward is huge compared to him, let's not even pretend that they are close in size.

Think about man, Sergio says that he can get down to 154 and even 150 with time....you think Ward can even dream of making those kinds of weights? Ward could easily be fighting at 175 so phuck him calling out Martinez.

Sergio was the smaller man again last night and still won, so you haters can go get bent.

if i was sergio i'd steer clear of ward he's too slick no need to move up just to take a beating, his aim should be unification

            Moral of the story:
If you're gonna call out guys in lighter weight classes, looking for a paycheck -- Don't be shocked when guys from heavier weight classes start calling you out, looking to cash-in as well.

The point is he isn't willing to put himself in the same situation that he is asking floyd and pac to do.

Truth is martinez didn't say 164 he simply said no. He wants to fight smaller guys but isn't willing to fight bigger guys. So unless your trying to tell us that pac and floyd are actually jr middles who cares if they have fought there before. Hell both guys were well under the limit floyd was 149 and pac was 144 in their fights at middle.

Hell floyd has only came in at 147 twice and pac has never been over 145. No matter how you spin it martinez is being a b.itch for wanting those guys at 154 but isn't willing to fight ward at 168.

Martinez weighs in at around 156-157 for his MW fights he is obviously small at the weight more realistic fight would be for Ward to go LHW and fight the winner of Hops vs Dawson

besides they both won titles @ 154 and Martinez was willing to go down to 150.
both have 1 fights at 154 that doesn't officially make them Light Middle Weights, Sergio is just looking for a BIG PAY DAY and it is nothing wrong with that but lets be honest, both of those fighters are truly WELTERWEIGHTS! Neither is REQUIRED TO FIGHT MARTINEZ!
