You're talking about an 11 round TKO as it were a bad thing. Actually, it's Martinez reward for what he did earlier in the fight. It was as he said, "like cutting a tree little by little".

Obviously you are new to boxing. History is filled with great fighters who either lost to lessor guys or they pulled out a win with a KO against them. This is not something new. When you have been involved with the sport for 30 years you will learn this, maybe a lot sooner.

JCC doesn't agree with you because he has done everything in his power to avoid Martinez. And Chavez himself ADMITTED that if he fought Martinez the way he fought Rubio, Martinez would beat him. Those were his words!

the fact that B.R!ghteous thinks any other strap holder (that would include sturm and geale) would whoop martinez's ass, not even give him a tough fight, makes me not take him seriously. you're as about as credible as mushadeen or whatever dudes name is. perhaps it's your quillin favoritism and the fact that quillin wants martinez that makes you dislike him, whatever it is, you're idiotic (w/ what you post). i'll just ignore whatever you post and let someone else waste their time arguing with you.

Lol yeah because jcc jr lno knocked out rubio right? Because he was so much bigger than rubio and didnt get tested after the fight right. Because he had his whole face ****ed up lmaol.

Now isnt manny a p4p fighter has he had a ko in his last three fights?? Didnt he just get his ass outbox my marquez blowned up in weighg and so much older? Funny thing here is he fights less than sar opponents cause noone wants to fight him not because he picks those guys ala duckiao.

macklin seemed to have the fight within reach until the knockdown(looked more like martinez tripped over macklin's leg)then martinez took control of the fight. i was very impressed by that. he made the proper adjustments then went to town & dominated the rest of the fight. good showing by macklin but martinez proved that he was in another league. if martinez keeps his hands down at his side vs mayweather he will get his butt kicked. i think floyd would win a lopsided decision over martinez.

I just wished he would challenge someone north of 154lbs (Ward, Bute, Froch for example). Martinez should actually step his game up if he ever wants to take the P4P #1 or #2 slots from their current owners. IMO he beats every 154 fighter out there and has a good chance to even swim in the 160lbs pool, just say though.
he fought at 160 last night, and has done for the last 5 fights.

His hands were actually up all fight, until the 8th.

This is what people dont realize, martinez does better when he drops his hands.. once they drop thats a sure sign he's finally comfortable and found his groove/timing.

He didn't drop his hands until after the knockdown. Thas when he picked it up

Sergio's stamina pulled him through. Macklin was right there with him for 6-7 rounds, but when he lost a step, Sergio didn't. He was so fresh and energetic down the stretch.
