Martinez is 5'9; Margarito is 5'10. Why can't Pac fight Sergio?

I'm sorry I just can't help but laugh at the idea of Mayweather being out of his league with Martinez.

That too, but they did admittedly said that Judah wasn't mentally strong enough to maintained that type of high consistent pace for 12 rounds.

That's because those southpaws had stood stationary in front of him, he had all the angle openings he needs to got off first. When he fight someone that's going to look to pivot/rotate to find openings as well, we'll see how great he is at not getting caught by the straight left hand.

Do you honestly think Floyd can hurt Martinez enough to discourage him out of comfort zone?

That is unless Pac's fan's admit that he never won a legit 154 lb title.

All I want to hear from the Pac fans is "Yes, BoxingGenius27, you're right; we have contradicted ourselves greatly in the past. We tend to overrate Pac at times because we are truly fans of his and like him as a person".

I would then respect them for being humble, honest and logical. But since that day will never happen, I have to continue to call a spade a spade.
you know what, **** it, they should fight

but we're all in the 150lbs boat right? because pacquiao wont come in over 145 at the weigh-in

so if sergio is smaller than margarito he should have ZERO problems making 150 for pacquiao

what you should be asking is why is floyd fighting cotto at 154 and not the number 1 guy at 154 in martinez instead
For the same reason your hero won't fight him as well. He's a big threat with no fan base.

Sergio did agree to 150, then Team Pac moved the weight to 147.

Do you see what we're saying?

I think he has enough pop to get his attention.

I think he'll hit him a lot and not take much back. I think that's the case for anyone he fights right now between 147 and 154.

Martinez has quick feet, good speed, power etc but his defense is dead average and he's there to be hit and not hard to find and he's not that good a counter puncher either.

Martinez would post an issue here and there and it would be competitive but once he makes the right adjustments he can and would IMO win the fight.

Kelly Pavlik made adjustments to Pavlik in the mid rounds of their fight and was beating him to the punch well and winning those rounds well this is Kelly Pavlik we're talking about. Martinez only really fights one way and he clearly struggles when people box with him even if they aren't good boxers at all I.e Macklin and Pavlik.

I won't disagree that it's a tough fight for Mayweather and a risky one he could well lose but saying Martinez is Mayweather's kryptonite is just wrong IMO he's nothing of the sort.

Manny already said before that he will never fight above 147lbs again... He already felt the 20lbs difference of punch power against Margarito, and he doesn't like it.... Yes Henry Armstrong and Ray Robinson did the same thing of jumping up and down the weight division, but atleast they were fighting TRUE welters at WW division or TRUE MW fighters at MW division, BECAUSE they were weighing in fighters at fight night... Unlike now, a blown up LWW fighter forced to fight a 160-165lbs fighter in the WW division....

I'd rather it be at 154.

Pac can beat Martinez coming to the ring at 148 in my honest opinion.

Sure, it's a big risk but it's still a winnable fight IMO.
