Agree. How is Kostya Tszyu a sure bet HOF, and he's already in, and Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, and Ricky Hatton aren't in the conversation as well?????

Tszyu's wins: Roger Mayweather, Hugo Pineda, Rafael Ruelas, Sharmba Mitchell, Miguel Gonzalez, Zab Judah, Oktay Urkal, Julio Cesar Chavez (way past his prime) and Jesse Leija.

Hatton's wins: Kostya Tszyu, Carlos Maussa, Luis Collazo, Juan Urango, Jose Luis Castillo (past his prime though), Juan Lazcano, and Paulie Malingaggi. Beat Tszyu H2H, when Tszyu was the #1 JWW in the world. Also a former Top 10 P4P fighter.

Castillo's wins: Stevie Johnston, Cesar Bazan, Juan Lazcano, Joel Casamayor, Julio Diaz, Diego Corrales, and Herman Ngoudjo. Should also have a win over Mayweather probably.

Corrales' wins: Roberto Garcia, Derrick Gainer, Justin Juuko, Angel Manfredy, Joel Casamayor, Acelino Freitas, and Jose Luis Castillo. Won 4 titles in 2 weight classes, was a former Top 5 P4P fighter.

    G. Hernandez' wins: Daniel Londas, Raul Perez, Jorge Paez, Carlos Hernandez, Carlos Gerena, and Anatoly Alexandrov. Dominated at 130 until he met Floyd, the way Tszyu did at 140 until he met Hatton.

So, if Tszyu was a sure bet HOF fighter, why are these guys not considered??? Tszyu's best wins were Pineda, Gonzalez, Judah, Chavez Sr (way way way past it, no one really counts it too much), and Leija. Hernandez' best wins were Perez, Paez, C. Hernandez, Gerena, and Londas. Corrales' best wins were Garcia, Manfredy, Casamayor, Freitas, and Castillo. Castillo's best wins were Johnston, Diaz, Corrales, Casamayor, and Lazcano, should also have a win over Mayweather. And Hatton's best wins were Tszyu himself, Lazcano, Urango, Collazo, and Castillo (past his prime though).

I'll take Corrales and Castillo's best wins at least equal to Tszyu's best wins, and Hatton beat Tszyu when he was the #1 JWW in the world. And Genaro dominated 130 the same way Tszyu dominated 140.

Sad Fact. Floyd would have beaten them anyway if they were still on their prime though.
Well why was this thread made????

No one actually beat Marquez in his prime (1999-2006). Norwood and John, they didn't really beat him. And if someone wants to get real on the Marquez topic, someone could easily argue that Floyd absolutely whupping a past prime-still good Marquez in 2009, the same weight he arguably just beat Pacquiao at, is the only time Marquez has actually really lost.

floyd is the indeed the only one to have clearly beaten jmm. thats a fact. sure jmm was much further past his normal weight class, but that same marquez was good enough to arguably beat the best p4p fighter in the world. either way u look at it, that deserves some credit.

I think out of all the fighters Mayweather fought in his prime Castillo is the only one I'd entertain voting for the HOF.

On the basis he's probably the most accomplished Lightweight of the last era.

But to be honest, I wouldn't vote for him either.

Tell me what you think about my post the top of this page. If Kostya Tszyu is a sure bet HOF, and he's already in, why aren't Genaro Hernandez, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, and Ricky Hatton at least in the conversation to get in??? Look at there resume's, pretty similar. I'll take Corrales and Castillo's best wins at the very least equal to Tszyu's best wins, and Ricky Hatton beat Tszyu H2H when Tszyu was the #1 JWW in the world. And Genaro dominated 130 until he ran into Floyd, kinda like how Tszyu dominated 140 until he ran into Ricky Hatton.

lol, what are we auditioning for? why are we acting like floyd fought marquez at 144 and that he is not much bigger than marquez, whilst pacquiao-marquez III is just two bloated lightweights?

Hey IronDan, would you vite Kostya Tszyu in based on his resume??? His best wins aren't better than Corrales and Castillo's best wins, Hatton beat him H2H when he was the #1 JWW in the world and Hatton has other solid wins, and Genaro dominated 130 until he met Floyd, sort of like how Tszyu dominated 140 until he met Hatton.

I just don't see how Tszyu is a sure bet HOF fighter and Hatton-Corrales-Castillo-G. Hernandez aren't even in the conversation.

I thought Mayweather and Pacquaio were the same size?

Isn't that what everyone say's after someone made that picture going through their size at each other's age and they weighed the same and looked the same at their respective age?

And Pacquaio at WW is anything but bloated.
