id rather teach him how not to take it.but i see your point cause i hit him off guard alot and tell him to remain calm when he gets hit cause emotion has no role in boxing
true.but footwork comes into positioning imo.but in training we always make them do footwork drills around the ring to get used to movement..but you must remain in position to evade punches and land your own
good point i guess position and footwork depend on each other and cant be really seperated
i was telling him his hips are his best friend cause when you use your hips you evade shots but also when you use your hips each punch sets up another punch
amazing.i had him working on this all morning on the heavy bag and the mitts......
Nice. That body jab, I think, is just as or more important than a jab upstairs. It can bring a guy down a little because it accumulates, it drops his hand to set up headshots, it makes him reset and breaks his rhythm, and it controls distance. Just have to be sure not to telegraph it, tuck the chin behind the shoulder and don't come straight up. That jab has to be executed perfectly and used just right. Keep doing your thing my dude.

lol once again i told him to keep his shoulders high and his chin tucked behind it and stay sideways.only give them half of your body
i already do that.come on he's a slick black fighter.gotta have his hair right man.didnt you see Apollo on Rocky making sure his fro was tight?
Yeah man but now that I think about it that's kinda biting somebody else's style. You gotta come up with your own gimmick. You're smart, i'm sure you'll think of something
