          I think the first thing a boxer should be taught when walking in the gym is the stance, the best thing to teach a guy first is the fundamentals and then all of the defences, timing, counterpunching, etc. should come along after.

            I can guarantee none of the top boxers today were taught any of the advanced stuff right at the start, they would of all started off learnin the basic fundamentals.
