i have a TON of friends that dont have cable, just a netflix account and a hulu subscription ... i wouldnt have cable if i wasnt addicted to espn
      but it is.

      blackbox and cable was everywhere

      that's not the point

people have to understand PPV wasn't the big thing back then, and Oscar had to complete with Tyson along with other stars.

If Oscar is in this era with 24/7 and the mass online media marketing FLoyd has, he will do 4 million

Oscar accomplished the 1 million+ buys 3 times.
How many times did Floyd do that before the Oscar fight?

That isn't relevant at all. Oscar gave Floyd the exposure that he needed to make himself a star, but Oscar didn't "make" Floyd. Floyd has a polarizing personality, hes controversial, he's massively skilled and he talks a lot of ****. That sells in America.

If Oscar "made" Floyd, then why hasn't anyone else Oscar fought reached Mayweather's PPV status?

That being said - its hard to say if Mayweather is a bigger draw than Oscar. Oscar didn't have the benefit of social media the way that Mayweather does now....Then again there weren't streaming websites available either - to my knowledge

            a better question

            will be

HOW POPULAR WOULD FLOYD HAVE BEEN

IF HE WAS AROUND AT THE SAME TIME AS PRIME OSCAR

            AND TYSON
