You can't go by PPV #'s. Back in the days everyone had an illegal box.

There also weren't streams around back then like there are now though.

When is the last time anyone here actually paid for a PPV card in full? I wouldn't even buy May/Pacquiao to be honest.

such a slept on aspect to viewing the sport in the 80s and 90s

I don't know of a single person who didn't have or knew a boxing fan who had an illegal box

            they were literally everywhere

I had my analog box for years then when they went digital it died but even them I had another one for about 14 months

OSCAR:Tito, Floyd, Pac all over 1MM buys

                    Floyd: Oscar, Cotto, MOsley??

All big fights to sell over 1MM has to be with 2 big names not just one!!

Stop giving credit to just 1 fighter

lol @ the tards that think that black boxes were more prevalent than illegal streams are now ... you cant be serious!

and FEWER people have cable now than in the 90s because you can download/stream any show that you please without having to pay for 50+ other channels that you never watch

i have a TON of friends that dont have cable, just a netflix account and a hulu subscription ... i wouldnt have cable if i wasnt addicted to espn
