I'm almost certain that we're in the minority here, but I feel the same. It's like the Eastern Europeans in the heavier weight classes. They are fundimentally sound, that's why they dominate. Mikey is the same, except he is tiny. That kid would put a methodical beatdown on Gamboa IMO!!
I can't underestimate gamboa but it would be interesting. Gamboa is so fast, I want to see how Garcia deals with that speed but like I said, his style is perfect for that.

The kid looks good, but not impressive. He will look average when he steps up in comp imo.

Gamboa is fast but he is wreckless with his hands. A guy like Garcia would be so prepared for the fight that he would capitalize on every gamboa mistake.

Gamboa is alot like Manny IMO in the sense that the mistakes they make can only be exploited by smart boxers who limit their own mistakes. I'll take Mikey late stoppage.

Couldn't agree more, I've been sky high on Garcia for a long time now.

I like Garcia against anyone at 126 including Gamboa.

Thing is, Gamboa's weaknesses are Garcia's strengths. Gamboa can get reckless and has mental lapeses. Garcia is just so seasoned it's ridiculous, nothing ever shakes him. He's the definition of calm, cool, and most importantly, consistent.

Gamboa is too fast and athletic to not land some clean blows but if Garcia can take a good shot(the only thing we have yet to learn about him) he would beat Gamboa.

Agreed, it's about testing his chin at this point. If his chin is anything like his brothers, he should be good.

He systematically broke him down and finished him. I don't understand how that's boring.

He's not a balls to the wall guy, but that's why he's going to be so good.

His patience and maturity was impressive.

He didn't want end up like Juanma and have to fight a firefight.

He didnt broke nobody down, the ref stop the fight prematurely!!

The fight got booed in every single round, so as soon as somebody got a bit hurt, the ref stop it.

It was boring to watch, one thing is being patience, another is being boring. He was against a opponent who was there to be taken out!

Forgot you were there live. I can see it being boring live. I really didn't find it to be boring, it looked like a really talented kid just applying his craft.

It's crazy how some fights suck live but are better on TV. I was at Cotto- Margs 2 and Wolak-Delvin 2 just seemed like nothing but I heard it was another ****er(not as good as first one obviously) on TV.
