I found that ******ed too. Floyd fans getting mad when roy actually says he'd probaly beat floyd while manny fans are rejoicing when roy said he'd beat manny without use of the word probably.

No... I think people were just taken aback at the fact that Roy based his claim off the fact that he beat toney, and he believes Floyd and Toney to be the same fighter or atleast resemble one another enough to have the same results.

I agree with anyone thinking roy is completely false in that belief - and I'm sure you do too.

Jones went 12 rounds with a defensive Toney, Id think he'd have much more success with a less defensive Pacquiao. Anyways Roy is one of the greatest fighters I've ever seen. I wish he would've retired after Tarver 1

I agree too that floyd and toney are different. But some people didn't even try and comprehend what roy was saying. I mean would anyone expect roy jones to say he'd lose to any other fighter?

            Prime Roy beats them both.

Roy has always been modest when talking about Pac, but has always been critical of Floyd. A lot of Black legend/ATG boxers don't like Floyd. I've seen just one ATG boxer put his hate aside and say Floyd beats Pac. Otherwise B-Hop doesn't like Floyd either.

Floyd and Toney, I see the similarities but they're different. Floyd has the handspeed and in his prime he had the footwork.

Exactly. Hopkins and Toney are the most defensive fighters he fought, and they were able to last 12 full rounds. Mayweather is beter defensively and offensively than both. If the only fighters that a prime RJJ went full rounds were with defensively-adept and counter punchers, what does that tell you about the chances of a defensively-less, slugger like Pac? RJJ is clearly trolling.

              RJJ beats both P4P btw.

No but to say Pac would be a tougher fight than Mayweather is plain bull. And he knows it.

Yep agreed. A lot of black boxers are very critical of Floyd. Just off the top of my head I can count: Hopkins, Toney, Foreman, Hagler, SRL and of course RJJ.

I don't think he said that. he said he probably beats floyd but would beat manny. I think intoccable is correct that roy is making a mistake assuming floyd and toney fight the same.

I really had no problem with what roy said, although reedyckilaus and I had a private debate about who would win.
