HAHAHAHA. This is why I never post on here!! People DO NOT KNOW THE SPORT OF BOXING. Roy Jones, with his immensely flawed fundamentals, beats Mayweather? Roy Jones would get dominated and stopped after the first four rounds. He has no jab, a weak chin, a terrible level of competition that he faced, and just relied on pure athletic gifts. Mayweather can basically match his athleticism, maybe a step behind him, but his amazing technique and defence is on a different level than Roy Jones could dream of. Roy Jones is one of the most overrated boxers of all time.

Dumb why u trying to put ur own words in lol!! Heres a piece from the article since I know u like to read then use ur own words ---

Based on style, the boxing writers' 90's Fighter of the Decade said he believes he would've beaten Mayweather, but would encounter more of a challenge figuring out Pacquiao.

I'm from the Philippines but a fan of boxing first, and I think Roy Jones Jr was in a better and higher level than Floyd is at their peaks. Thanks, Roy, for some great fights you've given us fans!
No doubt. Roy was uncannily powerful and fast at 160 and 168. At 175 he was as well but his power suffered a touch. He would've destroyed Floyd or Pac with relative ease.

I lean toward him stopping Pac and winning a near shutout UD vs. Mayweather.

P4P if Roy fought Floyd's competition at those weights he would have at least four losses.

Mayweather cant deal with fighters who have fast hands, and who have a jab like Roy had and who had defense like Roy had. Mayweather has lead feet too he would just stand there and Roy would tee off on him. Roy's defense was so great counter puncher's wouldn't be able to touch him.

Roy was a cerebral fighter like marquez

              James Toney wasn't weight drained

Roy wasn't hating on Mayweather in an interview

A fighter like Mayweather can't deal with speed and cant make adjustments has no defense and can fight only one style.

Mayweather just relies on his speed his fundamentals are horrible.

Roy always had great boxing fundamentals

You are as clueless as the guy you quoted. Roy Jones has NO fundamentals. That is why he struggled with Tarver as a kid and as a man. It had nothing to do with weight or anything. It is styles. Roy Jones cannot even see Floyd Mayweather in a boxing ring. Floyd was the first boxer to beat a Cuban in the amateurs in what? 20 years or something? Mayweather's technique and fundamentals are on a different planet, are as his defence. Jones looked great against terrible competition.

That guy you quoted (named Pac of course, and a not my man 2Pac) is an example of the type of morons on here. I'm done with this forum, it is either race wars, nuthugging, or clueless guys like that one. Mayweather has the best fundamentals in the last 25 years. Roy Jones is not even in his league.

Roy said he'd probably beat floyd but he would beat Manny. He clearly didn't use the word probably when it came to manny. I think a lot of floyd fans reacted so quick they missed that important piece. Thats why they are crapping on roy.

Roy's is more confident he'd beat manny despite his style. roy said manny's style would be more difficult for him because he already fought and defeated Toney and he thinks floyd and toney have the same style,

SO we agree he said manny's style would be more difficult, but we should also be able to agree he is more conficent beating manny then he is floyd, since he said he'd PROBABLY beat floyd and didn't say probably when reffering to beating manny.

There is no possible way you can argue anything else.
