bro i put armstrong at my # 1 cause i look not only at the boxers inside the ring but also outside the ring...his the only fighter who held 3 titles in different division at the same time...after his boxing career he became an ordained minister and devoted himself to underprivileged children..sorry i wasnt sure about pac lineal championships but now im pretty sure its 4 lineal championship and i think his the only fighter to do so...i put pac on my top 20 because just like id said i look at boxer not only on what they do inside the ring but who they are outside the ring.

Since there is currently something like 70 "world champions" in 17 weight classes, lets not get into all that "who has more titles" nonsense.

we cant avoid not giving the titles some importance cause its one way to compare otherwise how can we compare, theres always gonna be reasons or excuses...like back then there were fewer weight divisions but there were also fewer boxer then right?they got more fights back in the days but now i think boxers are more well trained than before...blah,blah,blah...and if its so easy to win multiple titles in as many weight division today why there are only few who have done it??

Like womanizing, father kids out of wedlock? Threatening the life of politically adversaries that are running against him?

However, Pac ATG ranking should NOT be hurt for all that bad crap he has done outside of the sport. Your ranking depends on what you do inside the sport. Either way you look at it he isn't top 20 ATG.

Out of curiosity who do you have at #2 and #3?

on a more serious note, floyd is not the second greatest fighter of all time. he is a great fighter, but because of the way boxing is today he has been able to be much more selective with opponents than robinson or anyone in past generations could be. i'm not hating by the way, but floyd wouldn't even be in my top 10 - i think that way too much is made of the fact that he's unbeaten. people seem to think that it makes him invincible, which no one is.
Ever heard of "Murder Row"? Robinson avoided them like the plaque...

So he thinks Floyd is 2nd best because Floyd did what Robinson did in only 42 fights?

What about DLH who won a title in a 6th division, and did it in less fights than Floyd if I'm not mistaken

When a Mexican cop can fight for a vacant WBC welterweight title(who BTW, got fired by the police force for taking the fight) It waters down the value of the titles.

How can you come to that conclusion? What kind of logic are you using. It could just mean that the weight-class had even more fighters than they have now. Also that is irrelevant what matter is the quality of fighters not quantity.

Back in the day they went 15 rounds, 20 rounds, 45 ROUNDS. There were extremely well trained back in the day. Nothing proven that today fighters are better trained. Most of the elite fighters can't even fight on the inside.

Oscar De La Hoya won 6 titles in 6 weight-class. That is the 2nd highest of all time. He won even more titles if you count all the time he regained it after losing the title. Big whoop.

But, you're contradicting yourself with your own opinion. SRR and Duran weren't the greatest people out of the sport.

But, he didn't do it undefeated. Which I think it is Roger point as well.
