If anyone can go in and correct Wiki then that's not a source that you want to use. I already gave some dates of some fighters who were champions.

No need to be lazy. Especially if this is a sport that you follow. Do your own research. Wiki isn't it though.

Comparing a guy who fought four times as much to one who is synonymous to retirement is an insult. Fighting an average of one fight a year for the last six years is not what you consider greatness in boxing. That's fear. Fear of losing.

Hatton was not, ODH WAS, COTTO was not Margo was NOT Clottey was NOT, MOSLEY was.

Just about all fighters that JR fought was either over the nice hill or little blown up guys like Hatton or VERY little blown up guys like JMM.

I can't think of a prime elite WW fighter that JR has ever fought ,,,,,ORTIZ ?

So you're wrong with saying by 1931 they were no more.
              But right on everything else.

anyone can make a statement. Back in the 60's I did the same thing but forgotten most of it. I used to name all the champions and their records especially in the heavyweight division and read all the stories of Dempsey etc..

I just watch the fights now, and many times long for the old days with out this hoopla today,

just ole lazy me wants YOU the master of knowledge today to tell me your proof, thats all mang, smiles

I agree that "Sugar" Ray Robinson is the greatest fighter of all time(his record speaks for itself) but Roger needs to do some better research cause Robinson's record was 173-19-6-108KO's(not 127-1 like Roger claims) & back in those days the weigh in was on the same day of the fight & LaMotta did outweigh Robinson, but by 16lbs(Robinson weighed 144 1/2 & LaMotta 160 1/2), NOT 50lbs like Roger says & the 2nd time they fought which was on the same year they both weighed more or less the same & Robinson beat him & then beat him 4 more times after that..& it's true Floyd has won titles in more divisions than Robinson, but it's also a fact that in Robinson's days there weren't as many divisions as there are now(there was no in between division weights, no jr or super weights) & Floyd is a great fighter & has shown it & has basically fought everyone(except Pacquiao) but right now I wouldn't put Floyd in front of Hagler or Leonard just to name a few .. Maybe Roger doesn't know as much as he thinks..

He was 127-1 or something like that at one point. Go easy on Roger he has smoked a lot of crack.
